After disposables, I used only Halo equipment and juices for a while. I wasn't happy with a whole lot of other vendors' liquids compared to Halo's, but I couldn't afford to buy only Halo, so I began to DIY my own flavors. I still have some bottles of Halo that I return to from time to time.
I vaped so much Twisted Java I burned myself out on it. I just NOW pulled out that bottle and it's just great again. After a few months of aging it's more caramel tasting than I remembered. I have a big bottle and will probably vape a bunch until I can't stand it any more, then hide it away for next time.
Kringle's Curse is great peppermint. I really like that it has no menthol, just peppermint. I've found replacements for this simple flavor, but none that are better.
I have a love/hate relationship with Belgian Cocoa. Sometimes it tastes great, especially mixed with something else, other times I just can't handle the smell of the vapor. Non-vapers around me complain about it, so I don't often pull this one out.
Malibu is one I couldn't stand when I got it, so I put it away. One day I was in the mood for that flavor and vaped most of my sample bottle, wondering why I didn't originally like it.
Southern Classic tastes to me like hot oranges, not very appealing. For a while I used it in Belgian Cocoa and got a taste like those sectioned orange-flavored chocolate candies (Terry's?) - but I can't handle it on its own.
Voodoo seems to have a fan following, but I'd quit vaping if that's all I had available. Ew.
I still have Cafe Mocha... I liked the taste, but non-vapers complain about the smell, so I haven't had any in a long time.
Tribeca is the only Halo tobacco flavor I like, but I have to be in a tobacco mood to enjoy it.
I think most vapers could find a Halo flavor or two they like, because there is a good variety. None of them have tasted washed-out like some other vendors' liquids have to me. I absolutely agree that they're consistent. You won't re-order a flavor and get something different, and I never had a mistake on any order from them.
So on the plus side for Halo: Reliable, consistent, flavorful. The biggest minus for me is the price. I also wish they'd add some new flavors.
I highly recommend trying the sample packs before investing in big bottles. Chances are you'll like some but not all of any given assortment. That's how it was for me and the friends I shared with. Fortunately we all found different favorites.
