Hi everyone,

So glad I found these forums. I have been contemplating quitting smoking analogs for quite some time now (last year around this time was ALMOST the nail in the coffin when I found out there was yet another additive in analogs to prevent falling asleep and burning your house down... WALL PAPER GLUE from what I have been told.) Anyways, after perusing these forums for the last few hours and watching some video reviews on the quality of Halo e-liquid, I am sold that this is the liquid for me, but I was wondering if the e-cig that Halo sells is good enough for a starter? I honestly dont want to dump hundreds of dollars down the drain to figure out which e-cig is the best for me, and a starter kit + sample pack is within my budget, but I would like some opinions first. Is the voltage high enough? (Actual voltage 3.3 rated voltage 4.2) Does it work all the time? (I have heard that certain e-cigs are consistent with the amount of vapor they produce.) Thanks for the help and thank you for these forums!

You can't really go wrong with an ego kit but I would start with anything smaller than that or you will be changing and charging batteries every 2-3 hours and they take like 3 hours to charge zo if u only have / rotations won't evenmatch up the ego can last 6 - 10 hors depending if u get the 650mah or 900 mah with a 2 hour charge time also this will allow you to buy lr atties if u wish, I went from 808 to 510 to ego and I wish I just started with the ego , the ego passthrough awesome to cause unlike most passthroughs it has an internal bat that charges while u use it , that would be a good start I'm now upgrading to the ali'i should be here Tom

Thanks for the input, someone else said they were using a V4L e-cig so I checked out that website as well, but I still am kinda confused as to which one will be right for me. I am not a pack a day smoker, more like 1 pack in 3 days, but I want to quit regardless. What e-cigs do you guys prefer? I am gonna have to do more research, but I would like to make a purchase before the end of the year so next year I can toss these stink sticks away.

The Halo juice is my absolute favorite, and I do think it tasted like tobacco. If you order, they will probably send you a sample of something you didn't order for you to try.
Personally, I like cartomizers better than atty/cart combo, but I have ordered an e-cig kit from Halo, because they do put out quality. They are a great company, and they want their customers to be happy. Also I trust their juice more than I do some other companies. :2c:

Best wishes with quitting and in your searching.

So much of this is personal preference, its hard to make recommendations about what is "best." I chose a fairly common route... to start with a 510 starter kit, then add parts as I felt I needed them... first it was cartomizers, then some 510 mega batteries. I have finally worked up to a few mods and some DIY juice mixing stuff. It has worked for me for 9 months now.

I recommend that as a potential route because you get to spread the cost over time, and 510 connectors are almost ubiquitous. That said, buying into a big bat kit like eGo's Riva's, Hello16's will likely save you a few of the early steps, maybe some $$ and frustrations along the way.

Plan on spending money, at 2-3 days per pack of analogs, it might take a long time to "break even" but who cares... its a lifetime of saving, and saving your life at the same time!

V4L is a KR808D-1, a dedicated 2-piece model (i.e. battery and cartomizer). If you get a 510 you can also buy cartomizers for it and use it as either a 3-piece with atty and cart or a 2-piece with cartomizer. The main downside of 510 is short battery life but there is also a longer battery you can get as well as being able to use the atty, carts or cartos as part of an Ego setup (fatter long lasting battery) if you decide to do that in the future. And if you are a 1/3 PAD smoker then a 510 battery may be fine for you. Just be sure to get 2 batteries so you can charge one while using the other.

Glad to have you here!

It is in your best interest, to spend a little time reading here and learning...
There is alot that will influence your overall experience and satisfaction from a PV.
What works for one, maybe does not work for another.
There is NO perfect, buy XYZ model that anyone can refer you to.
Just read some reviews here, go to YouTube and there will be ALOT of videos with people
doing reviews and how to's on just about every make, brand and model.

After research, go ahead and decide on a model.
It may or may not be perfect.
But as you read and learn, just about everyone has more than one.
Buy you some small bottles of juice and buy from different vendors till
you find one that suits you.
You will love some and hate some....that's just part of the learning process..
Your taste buds will also change along the way, after you get off the analogs.

Glad to have you here and looking forward to hearing how your journey is going.
Make sure to keep us informed of how it's going and what you decided on.

Thanks for all the great input! I am 99.9% positive that I'm going to purchase the Halo starter/sample pack combo, it comes with 2 batteries, and (I think) everything one needs to get started with vaporizing. The sample pack comes with 5ML of every flavor they have, and by what I have read, Halo makes some great liquid. I think this will be my best choice since I get to experience a bunch of different flavors. I'll be sure to let you all know what my opinion on the e-cig turns out to be as well!
