there are two wicks, one is the flavour wick, and that falls out easily, so take it out and wash it. the other is attached to the coil, and you shouldn't remove it. to clean it you can dry burn it. there's a thread here somewhere with instruction on how to dry burn.

personally I don't think that video is very good. one, i don't use tap water because of the fluoride and other additives in it, i use distilled, and two, he doesn't take the wicks out or dry burn.

here's a thread

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/halo/495425-triton-tank-cleaning-coil-life.html

I search halo forum for dry burn. you don't want to press the button for too long, if you melt the insulating grommet, the charred taste might not go away.

I agree. 7 seconds is way too long. I would take the silver top piece off the head so I could see. Quick 2 or 3 second bursts. I stop just as it starts to glow. Then, you have to rinse the ash off. I just let it dry. I see no need to burn off any moisture before I assemble and refill. In that thread Chesty linked, #9 is the perfect burn technique from BigBen.

I want to try to recoil a Triton head, and I'll question you on the appropriate thread, chesty.

But that video is so... "Lastly, all you need to do is lay all your pieces of your clearomisers out on a surface that can readily absorb water. In this case I chose to use a paper towel." I thought, "Wow, this guy is doing a Martha Stewart parody."

I don't mean to make fun of the video. OK, I guess I do mean to make fun.

My mad method is still evolving.

I often blow over the coils, while dry burning. The interesting thing about that, is that it sometimes keeps the gunk burning, even if the battery's off.

In any case... I keep dry burning until I see that the original glow is back over the whole coil, not just part of it.

So far, so good.

So say I vaped a little too much. About an hour ago. My heart was racing. I still feel a little uneasy. Mostly nauseous. How long should this last?

I'm afraid it will be permanent.

nicotine has a half life of 1 - 2 hours according to wikipedia, so you should be fine in an hour.

maybe get some lower strength nic for chain vaping, and higher strength for short vapes?

Too many variables to be specific... should start feeling better in less than an hour if you stopped vaping. You may experience headache and ........ during that time. Fortunately for most, there is no "hangover". Once the feeling has passed, vape on. :vapor: But a little lighter next time or cut back on the nic level. :D

Edit: chesty is faster than Seapup.

drink plenty of water too, it will help with dehydration and in may help keep some of the nausea at bay

Wow, that actually made sense! What's wrong Wheezal? :p

Get yourself some 0 nic juice with your next order. You can use it straight up, or mix with your regular juice, for those chain-vaping occasions.

I dunno it doesn't seem like ecigs are working for me. I've tried 12mg, 18 and 24 and with all of them I take 4-6 puffs and feel like I've had too much nicotine, fast heart, dizziness, lightheadedness, headache and sometimes nausea, and then like an hour later I'm cranky like worse than a craving when I was smoking cigarettes. I've like randomly yelled at people over little things at work. I guess they aren't for everyone.

Sorry things aren't going well, but it's worth it to keep trying antisomnic. You know you can drop down even lower with the nic. You can try 6mgs, which is where I started. And like BigBen says, you can add 0 nic to what you have to customize. There's a lot of other things in cigs that causes one to be so addicted to them---not just nic.

Your body could be going thru a detox of all the other chemicals. And also ask yourself if you really WANT to vape. Psychologically, you might be experiencing some sort of 'mental block'. Vaping is fun AND delicious...if you want it to be. Preparing ones' self with as much knowledge as possible is a BIG boost as well. You know what they say: "Knowledge is Power" Good Luck. Let us know what you decide

That's what happened to me. Bought a g6, stared at it for awhile, kept telling myself I needed to quit. Then one day I filled a carto with longhorn, that got me going on it. After about a month, got a triton and finally put the cigs out. It feels I can do it, I'm sure you can.

15+ year 1 - 1 1/2 pack a day.
Now I'm free!

Everyone here would like to see you succeed, so we're all biased :p

I don't know how you thought 24 mg was right for you; what did you smoke before, and how often?

There was a fellow here, some time ago who used to smoke a pack a day, but would get dizzy on 6 mg; turns out he never inhaled, while on analogs...

I've helped a few people here on ECF so if you prefer, feel free to PM me.
