I'm fairly new to vaping and about to dig in to the mechanical mod end of things. There isn't a thing that I own, that hasn't been modified in some fashion. I like to tinker. Im an electronics engineer by degree and avionics technician by trade. Anyway, on to my project. I had been working on getting more vapor out of my rig. What I ended up doing was making my own coil. I started with the Halo 1.8-2.0ohm coil, which actually measured out to 2.2ohm. I used 32awg ribbon kanthal and did a 3/2 wrap, using silica wick. Surprisingly this came out to 2.4 ohm. I went ahead and tried it out and it increased my flavor, vapor and TH dramatically. I also found that the head got much wamer a lot faster, almost hot. I bored the intake holes in the battery a bit and it really made things flow nicely.

As soon as I can find some pure VG and get a hold of some cotton, that will be my next move.

I really like the fact that I can now take a much shorter drag for a true cigarette sensation. Or, take a long drag for some serious vapor.

That is all. Thought I would share. Have a nice day.

I fiddled around with those little Triton attys. The limiting factor on those is the tiny air tube going up through the tank to the coil. You can't really make it any larger. I tried and ruined one of my tanks. But increasing the intake hole size does help, some. I made some 1.6 ohm coils with AWG 30 Kanthal and it gives you a warmer vape.
