Looked for other threads by Googling and only came up with links to 510 connections and wattage changing on its own so please forgive.

My 2-month-old, respectfully treated Hana Clone (hcigar, I believe) stopped working. I used a multimeter to check the battery and it reads at 3.9 volts.

The screen stays blank when not plugged in via passthrough. When plugged in via passthrough, the battery level changes each time I press the fire button. It will not fire the nautilus Mini (which works fine on my ipv). So it is not working at all.

Please advise if my mod is a hunk of junk and ought to be replaced or if there is a fix.

Thank you!

P.S. My next box mod is going to be something other than a Hana clone. This is the second one to go bunk on me in under four months. Same manufacturer.

Well, I didn't get any replies but that's ok; no one here owes me anything.

For anyone who happens by this post and has the same problem, my Hana clone miraculously started working again, so fingers crossed that it was just a fluke. I didn't do anything special to fix it. I just clicked the fire button to check if anything had changed and it started working again.

Coincidently, my friend who bought a Hana clone (probably Cloupor; pretty sure hers isn't HCigar) also started showing the "shorted" display on her screen. She's had it for under one month.

Otherwise we love this box mod and have had good results with it.

Unfortunately, Chinese quality control is an oxymoron.

Yep, QC is nominal at best...

One common issues I've seen reported with these is the ground wire. It's held in place by a screw and may not be tight which would make since with what your describing. Might want to check that.

and a poor connection of the battery with the battery terminals is also a common issue.... slightly spreading out the contacts will allow a tighter fit against the battery....

Sounds like something is loose, like Nomoreash suggested. Hopefully it won't act up again, but likely it will so eventually you're going to want to find it. Checking the ground wire is simple I think, I don't think you have to remove the plastic electronics cover to see it its just hanging out in the corner.
