Hana dna 30 and subtank not getting along

So...I picked up a kanger subtank today and I get a check atomizer error with the .5 coil in. It fires on other devices just fine.
Oddly enough, it works with the 1.2 coil and the .5 coil works if I screw the beauty ring on it. Anyone else have this issue?

There was a discussion on reddit about the fitment. The issue with the .5 is that the center pin isn't long enough to reach all the way down to the center plate of the hana. This is due to the .5 being 25mm, having a slightly shorter center post and the hana having a atty space 22mm. Leaving just enough space to not make a connection. Adding the beauty ring adapter which narrows down to 22mm at the bottom allows the .5 to gain enough length to properly connect. Nothing was mentioned on the 1,2ohm having this issue.
