Hana Modz v3 battery?

Hello guys and gals. I just bought another Hana v3 but this time in full size at VapeBash. I was very surprised to see that it didn't come with a battery inside. Is this normal? I thankful have some good efest 18650s that I installed but am now curious if I got shorted a battery?

they do not come with batteries. the full size model that is.
