I bought one of the Volt carrying cases to use for my 65/78's but I use the nano's, not the cartos. Didn't think much of it until I tried using it and the nano's just slide around inside. Not really a big issue, I just have to be careful opening it.

However, tonight I had an idea and tried it out. I took the carto wraps (plastic ends) and placed them in the elastic holders for the carto's and then inserted the nano's into them tip first (the battery end is too tight). This held them in place enough that they don't go falling out when I open the case. I used the wrap with the center stem inside, not sure if that matters though.

Hope this helps someone else with a similar problem.

Great Idea misfit, but I went a step further when my elastic bands wore out I gutted the insides and replaced them with heavy plastic backing and reconfigured with more and heavier duty elastic...thusly in the photo voltcase2.0.jpg but if I used Nanos they would slide around in mine too if not for the booties you are using!

Nice Job Charlz!! I like how you have fit five batteries in there. I may have to do this to mine at some point.

It's a bit of a trick to do it but worth the effort. You have to find a thick enough plastic backing material and one that won't crack when you cut the slots for the elastic. I used an old rubbermaid storage bin, cut with scissors to fit, cut slots with exacto knife (Very Carefully), then looped the elastic thru and hot guled the piece back into the case shell. "Voila!";)
