umm...adding all the context would make this a really long post, but the gist of it was that my coworker (who I'll need a bunch of help from at the end of the month, and needs permission to take the time to help) told me that he'd told his supervisor that I was one of the people who have experience, know what I'm doing, plays well with others and that they needed to make sure that I stay happy. :)

So my happy for the day? Finally finding out I was accepted to my 2nd year program! My life has felt like it was on hold here since the 5th of April when I submitted my kick .... math scores! I was approved for my program since the 7th! They lost the paperwork for me and 7 other students in my program. If I was feeling like I was in purgatory, I can only imagine how they were feeling!
Oh and I had a job interview I won't find out if I got it for a couple weeks yet, keep your fingers crossed!

My happiness is that I found out my nephew was picked to go to the college he wanted. He wants to play drums professionally and was really hoping to get into this college in California. He is the only kid so far I can really relate to with his love of music. Some of my other nephews want to be Dr's or layers and I'm happy for them but don't get what they are talking about when they start talking about there Chem classes and stuff. But when this kid starts talking music theory and asks why he has to learn it to be a drummer I can hold a conversation with him, so I kind of get him when others in the family don't. (my mother started crying when she found out he wanted to get into music, she doesn't get it at all)

I'm just so proud of him, he really is tallented. He picked up the drums by watching his older brother, my younger nephew was only 5 or 6 when he started trying to play the drums. For many years he was kind of self taugh with his older brother helping him out. I know how much he really loves it, and I think he understands that he doesn't have to be Mr. famous to make a living off of music.
