My happiness is that I found out my nephew was picked to go to the college he wanted. He wants to play drums professionally and was really hoping to get into this college in California. He is the only kid so far I can really relate to with his love of music. Some of my other nephews want to be Dr's or layers and I'm happy for them but don't get what they are talking about when they start talking about there Chem classes and stuff. But when this kid starts talking music theory and asks why he has to learn it to be a drummer I can hold a conversation with him, so I kind of get him when others in the family don't. (my mother started crying when she found out he wanted to get into music, she doesn't get it at all)
I'm just so proud of him, he really is tallented. He picked up the drums by watching his older brother, my younger nephew was only 5 or 6 when he started trying to play the drums. For many years he was kind of self taugh with his older brother helping him out. I know how much he really loves it, and I think he understands that he doesn't have to be Mr. famous to make a living off of music.
