(we were all virgins in those days/except for MlrGrl - not so sure about her).

I was so new at that time, I didn't even have my 30 day chip yet....but I did have a 901 ;) LOL

And here I thought it resembled a crack pipe....I got a new mod to show off now - a special little gift from the modqueen herself.

I got a flippy :)

ok girl....where are the pics and what in the world is a flippy???

Ya'll have to wait until the next meet to see the flippy :)

(yes, I'm being a tease on purpose)

And, right now, the flippy is the one teasing ME. I got the mod, but the batteries/charger haven't arrived yet :(

HEY!! THAT'S NOT NICE!!!
Google isn't even telling!!

I would ask you what kind of batts do you need to borrow, but now, I dunno.....;)

So far, so good. It is a variable voltage mod - I can adjust the volts by .1 degree increments....gotta have a little screwdriver to do so, though :(

I set it at 6v for the day, and holy :censored: this gives a wicked hit. Sucks the juice outta my carto right quick, though. Makes me wonder just how much voltage I've lost in the pairs of batteries I'm using on the SB (ok, ok, they ARE old ones) because the 6v SB isn't hitting NEAR as hard as this flippy.

It's got a battery charge monitor in it, to let me know how much juice I've got left in the batteries.

It's big - looks like an old-style walkie-talkie - and a little bulky for out-and-about...but at least this one'll never get mistaken for a pipe-bomb or crack-pipe :D

I'll have to play with it when I get home, dial down the voltage, and see how it works around 5.5v or so. Had it at 4.8v briefly last night with partially-charged batteries, and was comparable to what the fisty delivers. Thought I'd amp it up today.

Anyone wanna see this bad boy in action? Don't forget, this Thursday the BF's band will be playing in Rooters in Waukesha. I'll be there (NEVER miss a chance to oogle the keyboardist :) ) and I'll bring the flippy with.

Correct. It just looks like the detonator for the pipe bomb.... ;) LOL

Now that you have had it for over a week, what are the prelims on that bad boy?

True to form, it's taking me time to get this into rotation...
It's clunky. It's a little too large to comfortably fit in my hand, so it's turning kinda into an at-home unit...which is good, because I gotta have a little screwdriver around to adjust the voltage.

Given that it's a home unit, the batteries last and last...I charged 'em last week TR, and have picked it up a couple times over the weekend.
