3 year vaping anniversary for me today
Its been an amazing journey. There's no doubt in my mind that what made it possible was all the great friends I've made here on ECF along with all the wonderful vaping toys I've gotten to try out and enjoy these three years
I guess I've been lucky, but my times with frustrations with vaping stuff have been extremely few. I've liked some stuff much better then other stuff but pretty much everything I've ever tried has worked without a lot of issues. Some stuff just works better then other stuff for me
I think the best piece of advice I got from someone before I started was to make vaping its own experience. Smoking and vaping are very different from each other. If one tries to make the experiences the same one is only setting themselves up for failure.
I own lots of different vaping toys and I've tried many more that I've never chosen to own but after 3 years I find myself using my Ego Twist, Precise ELA, or Hogmod most often. Tanks and cartos and clearomizers and RA's all have their advantages but I still prefer to drip the old fashion way with a 510 atty. I own far too many Trippy Tips
I still have a few vendor juices that I really like but most of the juice I use is my own DIY. After being a 2 pad smoker for over 30 years I found to my surprise a few months after I started vaping that I'd lost my addiction to nicotine. I choose to now treat nicotine that same way I treat caffeine, usually vaping zero mg nic juice but occasionally I do enjoy some nic in my juice.
Six months ago I stopped buying new vaping toys. I didnt even purchase an anniversary present for myself as there isn't anything I want out there right now. I'm sure I'll come across something eventually that I'll want to try because trying new things is fun
but doubt that's going to happen very often anymore.
I have no idea if I'll continue to vape forever or decide to give it up some day. I can't imagine ever stopping, but I didn't think I'd ever be able to stop smoking so who knows what's in my future.
