HOW'S THE 510???? how's the marlboro flavor??? How's the nic???
i'm dying to get mine so i'm living vicariously through you at the moment. LOL
Okay, Yoitzo, here's my report so far (YMMV) --
* No analog smoked since 5pm Fri 10/30 (it is 11:00am Sat 10/31 as I write this)
* While I clearly have that 510 learning curve to navigate re: proper use (um, gigantor clouds o' vapor, where are you?), I must be getting the nic fix I crave, because I haven't felt compelled to reach for an analog so far.
* Alternating between one auto batt and one man batt - I like 'em both about the same, so far. Hard to determine length of charge retained, since I don't know whether one times the "charge held" only by usage or also incorporating stand by time. That being said, my auto lasted several hours last night, and I switched to the manual late last night just to try it out, then have been continuing with that one this morning.
* My kit came with "high" nic Marl carts - WOAH, glad I was prepared with flavorless 0mg nic to dilute with!
* Taste of Marl carts = meh. Even before diluting, I could barely taste anything, but that could be due to a number of factors previously discussed in various threads of this forum. So taste = not bad, not good, just kinda, um, there. Sorta. It's probably
me, more than the carts!
* Topped off with Cuban Cigar from Matt of WetYourStick.com -- never dreamed I'd enjoy a "cigar" flavor, but I do like this! Still, the flavor is quite mild to me, but again, I suspect that's mostly Newbie User Skills at work. :/ (Although I have read about 510 flavor issues here and there in threads.)
* I've been vaping in front of a mirror to help monitor and better control my draw time and technique and vapor production; that has proven to be somewhat helpful in refining how I vape.
* Vaping surely is _not_ "just like" smoking. Yet, I don't seem to mind. The "smoke" is, hm, how to describe, smoother, not irritating, not dry.
* I have _always_ needed to have a beverage in hand while smoking, to add wetness to my throat. I've been vaping several sessions now without requiring coffee or juice or anything. That's nice!
* This is surprising: I am now noticing the smell of yesterday's not-yet-cleaned-out ashtray. It's not bothersome, but, it's not a smell I so overtly noticed before. Senses don't start making a comeback THAT quickly, do they??
* FYI, I've been smoking since March 1990, about a pack of lights per day.
* I did not originally plan to take up vaping as a way to "quit smoking," but as a way to enjoy my nic fix in otherwise inhospitable situations (in car with kids, in friends' homes, etc.) -- that was my original thought; to use vaping when and where I can't smoke. Um, I think it is turning into a full time replacement.
* Embarrassed that it has been THIS EASY for me to _not_ reach for a traditional cig. No other methods of smoking cessation were successful this long without having to endure painful cravings.
I'm looking forward to hearing of your own experiences with it!
