Fright!
Great thought. I am a 40 year member of the group W bench. Long before the internet and mp3's and Ipads etc, we used get up in the middle of the night, drive 7 hours like mad from Virginia in order to be back in NYC by noon so we could hear Alice's Restaurant on WNEW 102.7 FM. Back then, you could only hear it once a year and it was the beginning of our family Thanksgiving Tradition. Our kids were only babies then but they knew the whole song by heart and we would all sing it together in the car. We would drive over to Grandma's house only after the song was over.

Wonderful memories Fright, thanks so much for this

Happy Thanksgiving to everybody!

Good times. We use to listen to it on the way to my grandmother's for Thanksgiving dinner every year also. When I was really young I must admit I thought it was plain weird. But slowly it became as much a part of Thansgiving as the turkey :)
