Whats the difference between a mechanical and and Ego TWist 1300 mah with a kangar pro tank 2 mini?
Mechanicals have no circuit boards, no built in safety measures for protecting the batteries, and don't have variable voltage.Whats the difference between a mechanical and and Ego TWist 1300 mah with a kangar pro tank 2 mini?
Never Smoked?
Just in it for the Sport?
Just curious. People used to come here for support in overcoming the worlds #1 addictive killer - cigarettes.

As to these boards having a different look lately....
I am sure they do. Vaping is moving from mostly people trying to quit smoking such as myself, to more of a mainstream thing that many people who have never touched a tobacco product in thier life are beginning to have an interest in. Vaping is much more than a smoking cessation thing anymore its a viable and enjoyable hobby. So I would say get used to the new look, its not gonna go back to the way it used to be for sure.

To the OP,
As snarky as some of these people who replied are/tried to be there was some good info given as to your question. I am pretty new to the vaping world myself so cannot give you a direct answer. I can say this however, your going to want to go with a mechanical mod and a good battery like a Sony svt4. The atty will end up being something of personal choice, which is something you will have to learn about before you can make an educated decision.
You will be told here, repeatedly, that you need to understand things like ohms law, battery safety, and such. The people who tell you this are quite correct, you don't want to blow a hand or your face off chasing clouds.
Before I would step up to trying to "fog the neighborhood" I would certainly begin by trying to learn to do your own builds. Your going to need, beyond pure saftey info, some tools and a decent ohm meter or multimeter. I found a good deck to build on in the Plume Vail atty. No weird angles and easy to work on. Start slow, with simple micro coils and higher ohm builds and check them on your ohm meter. Then throw them away and build another. Don't fire them.
Its going to take you awhile of perfecting your skill at builds and understanding all the rules and saftey stuff before you are blowing huge clouds. If you have somebody else build it for you without knowing what he/she is doing, your just the lungs powering his/her clouds.
Keep asking questions, nobody on these forums started out knowing a darn thing about vaping when they were new to the scene either.
As to some of the responders here, geez. Give us new guys a break. Simply responding "you are not ready" or being snarky in your responses is probably doing more harm than good. Nobody is ever going to learn anything if they don't get decent answers to thier questions. And if they can't get good answers that's when somebody goes and does something really stupid and blows thier flipping face off. Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves, and you kniw which ones you are.

I used to smoke black n milds multiple times daily, I'm over that though. Now I just like large amounts of vapor for tricking purposes.
I just wish this hobby had become popular after there was some security that I will have access to the products that got me off of tobacco after 40 years of smoking. It's the nicotine that will be regulated, something I need, but most cloud chasers don't.
Ocelot, ENAUD, if I could like your posts more than once, I would. All well and good for the folks whom this is a "hobby" for. Unfortunately, ALL of this is under threat from the FDA , and it is a real concern that it can all be taken away from us "former tobacco users" myself included, who have vaping to thank for saving our lives. Y'all hobbyist new fad chasers can then move on to the latest thing that catches your interest without a care, while us ex smokers will be left wondering what to do next. This mindset just blows my F'ing mind!!!
People who start vaping to play games with something that is literally saving my life and untold thousands of others is the ultimate facepalm. I have a better word than facepalm, but it would just get deleted. As to these boards having a different look lately....

While I do agree with you that's vaping is now what all the "cool kids " are doing. They still need to learn how to safely use the device.
There is more to it than just wrapping coils. It only takes 10 milliamps to stop the heart. And while a defribrilator only puts out 1500 v and 0.1 amp. A Sony vtc4 puts out 30amps. So, when some of we experienced vapors chime in, it's not being snarky or whatever fancy word you feel the need to use. It's because we care about the end user. The last thing any of us want to see or hear about is someone who has zero experience, or limited experience, with these devices; yet, got advice on how to look "cool," blowing their face off. Not only does it result in a large amount of pain for them: but it also invites the feds to get involved and make this a lot more difficult on all of us.
Sometimes in life it's Ok to go through the learning curve before you worry about being the cool kid on the block.
