We got a reprieve at the Council Meeting. They want to study e-cigs more and it will be presented at the next council meeting. I assume for a vote.DFW Vapor is the only vape store in town and is only a year old. Scot of DFW Vapor made an excellent presentation. I am afraid they will only allow his store to use electronic cigarettes and include the public use of ecigs in the expanded smoking ban. We will have to really work on directing them to the right information. Each of the Councilman and the Mayor have been given copies of the Drexel Study and CASAA list of information sites. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. This city is only 75000,but the area from Brownsville to McAllen is over 500,000. It is going to increase population dramatically with a Med School being built. When one city passes an ordinance, the rest will fall--Brownsville has already. Texas needs to beware--every city needs to prepare!
