I've been disappointed in Chai flavorings, and I'm frustrated trying to get the flavors right.
But I just got a box of (actual) chai black tea that's great. What's your opinion on the safety of doing a PG extraction given that this is the ingredient list on the box: Black tea, cloves, natural flavors, ginger, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg.

I know the black tea is all right. Would PG extraction of any of those spices give me oils? I'm most unsure about the cloves. This sure is good chai - it'd be a nice vape flavor. Any opinions or experience?

Don't do it. That's too many ingredients. I once extracted a tea with pretty much that same ingredient list and it smelled and tasted like mustard, even at 1%. Your ingredient list needs to be the leaves and thats it. No cinnamon, no nutmeg, no cardamom, no ginger, etc. Just tea leaves/coffee grinds/tobacco leaves.

Awwwww...:( Then I'm back to mixing flavorings of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger (etc.), which I can't seem to get combined right. And nobody makes an allspice. gripe...gripe..
