Has anyone had any success making a bottle-fed mod with a retractable atomizer?

I've got a simple, inexpensive box mod. One drawback is that the atomizer sticks out.

Before I go wasting time & money trying to build one, has anyone done it already?

Retractable, not so much, recessed, yes. By all means, have at it.
