Thanks for all the help guys, got it running great with the solid 500 wick and fill screw in! I laid it flat on its side yesterday with the screw out and it took about 10 mins for it to start leaking! No worries now, I've never liked standing my pv's on end, they always fall.

I’ve got one coming from MVS. It’ll be my first go with a Genesis style although I’ve been rebuilding the Phoenix and ViVi Nova almost exclusively since they were released.

I know it comes with a small sheet of SS and some wire but I’m not sure the specs, probably larger wire than what I have so I guess I’ll start with that. I’ve already got a BUNCH, 2 roles-probably close to 150ft of 36ga Kanthal and Nichrome I was planning on using for wire until I started reading a larger ga seems to work better with the mesh, some are even using 28. So, should I order some larger gauge wire and just not fool with what I have, is larger easier to work with as far as hotspots and number of wraps, etc?

If so what gauge wire should I order?. I use Variable, a Provari, dna 12 and if I need more umph I’ve got mods with a 10 amp, 50 watt regulator adjustable up to 6v so lower ohm and power shouldn’t be an issue if it works better.

Also what mesh. I’ve seen a lot of talk about 500 recently before that 400 seemed to be preferred. I mostly DIY my juice at a 50/50 mix if that matters.

Thanks a bunch for any input.

I'm ready to drill out my hole to 1/8". None of my 1/8" bits will even begin cutting through this SS. Where can I get a bit to cut through this thing?

You want Cobalt or Titanium. Get a brand new one, if you can.
Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Lowes. Avoid a bit that has the "Speed Tip"..IE: Dewalt

28 gauge is ridiculous to work with, imo. I haven't tried it on the aga T+, but I tried it on a mini did clone and it took a 10/11 coil to get something like 1.7 ohms. For the aga I like 32 gauge, a 5/6 coil gets between 1.7 and 2.0 ohms. dk about 50/50 juice, I've only used 70/30 or 80/20 pg/vg. I've heard that the thicker the juice, the lower the number of ss mesh. Hope that helps.

Just unwrapped my glass tank from My Vapor Store. :(It was wrapped very well in the mail. I have no idea how it could have cracked. I sent them an email. Maybe its supposed to be there? It looks like a V for Vapor.

This looks really bad... Any reason you chose the tank from My Vapor Store over the IBTanked? I mean, other than price? To me, an extra $3 and some change for the IBTanked would have been worth the saved trouble...

You have problems with your Lavatube V2 falling over? That's about as stable a base as you can get! :) They're pretty dang fat!

28g on the AGA-T is ok if your PV can handle low Ω coils. It takes way too many wraps to be practical for an APV with PWM. Wrapping 30g or 32g is easy. Never had issues with 30g. I am testing 32g now and I had to readjust to clear hot spots 1 and 2 days after having everything right.
I would generically say that (kanthal):
28g for up to 1.4Ω coil
30g for 1.4 - 2.0Ω coil
32g for 2.0Ω and above.
I wouldn't know where 34g and 36g would fall, they are too thin to be practical for me.

This is just a guideline, but if followed it will keep the number of wraps manageable.
Nichrome is a different Ω per foot than kanthal so these values do not necessarily apply to it.

Should I get the one for the aga-t? Did not see the plus listed there. The reason I got it there was because I was already buying the aga.

I agree for matters of sanity.

I am not too sane when it comes to vaping though, after tons of experimenting this is what I came up with.

28ga, 10 wraps, twisted top leg, 2.1 ohms, #500 mesh, wick in wick (35 mm outside big hole 15mm inside no hole) airhole drilled to 3/32".
i use a DNA 20 mod and keep it at about 10 watts/ 4.7 volts. i slide the wick out daily and torch it, dry burn the coils then scrub, then slide the wick back in.

i have retired all of my other vape equpment

I've had my aga-t2 for a few weeks now, and I'm loving it. It's my first rba. I had no problems with the coil the first 2 times I wrapped it. I kept making bigger wicks, so I would then have to wrap a new coil. The 3rd coil I made I couldn't get rid of the hot spot. Finally after all the suggestions I read on this thread I got it working great. I'm using 30ga kanthal with a 5/6 wrap. I used an awl to make the air hole a little bigger, but I went a little too big. Now I wish I would have left it alone!

Thanks for everyone's help on here!!

Yeah, I tried to word my reply carefully (for those just working through the humps) as I know there are exceptions to "da rulez" that cause the basics not to apply. If you are successfully wrapping 28g @ 9/10, you are past the learning curve and looking for the capable limits of the T. I wrapped a 28g 12/13 the other day just because I had a piece laying around I wasn't going to use. I pulled it about 5 minutes after it was hitting ok, I didn't want to stress my ZMax.

This is a great example though of what can be done outside the box, after you have become comfortable playing inside the box.
