I haven't used the +, but I own the T. I HATE HATE HATE O-ring press fit stuff. Threads are much more secure. And with the ability to just buy a $4 glass tank, I don't see why anyone would want the +... personally.

Also the t2/+ has a SS center post, and the wick hole is closer to the center post. The o-ring cap is actually hard to get of (relatively) but it makes lining up the air hole wherever you want it a breeze.

Personally, I think it's completely and utterly laughable that people care so much about what their vape setups look like. I don't give half a damn so long as it works well.

And that my friend is why free market commerce works. Different strokes for different folks. Laughable? Depends on what kind of person you are. I do believe that function is greater than form, but there is nothing wrong with looking after form once function is taken care of.

Ok, I have been reading a lot about the AGA-T. I am having a problem with my AGA-T+. The top let gets bright orange/red and I am getting very little vapor. Do I basically have a shot at the top and that is why? I oxidized the wick and the vapor I do get tastes good, I just don't get very much. Anyone have any ideas? Sorry if this has already been covered and thanks for any and all help. I am running 50/50 juice with the mesh that came with the tank and the wire that comes out to 1.8 ohms with a 3/4 wrap running it at 10.5 watts or 4.34 volts.

I can only tell you what's been said. You need to adjust your coils to get rid of the hot spot. It doesn't take long to fix, the problem is teaching someone without being able to show them. The correct method has been written in this thread quite a few times.

I'm a firm believer in loading the dice as heavily in favor of vaping versus smoking as possible. For me, that definitely includes using something that looks at least somewhat appealing.

Early on when I started vaping I noticed that I felt more contented about vaping once I got a couple of my batteries girl-ified so I didn't feel as though as I was vaping something misplaced from the toolbox in the garage. At the time I didn't think it all that important.

However, one day when I was concentrating intently on doing other things I had my two favorite juices loaded on my as-is batteries and my second string juices loaded on my pretty batteries. Turns out I vaped much more of the second string juices that day because those were the batteries my hand subconsciously went to.

I bought an original Aga-T with the screw on cap for a future hybrid mod but because of the poor manufacturing, the air hole is on the other side of the wick hole. I'm trying out my ceramics in it now but because of the poor placement of the hole, my top cap is barely able to seal with the oring. I would prefer a screw on over press fit as long as the air hole lines up when screwed down all the way.

I re-wrapped my mesh with some 34 awg 3/4 wrap at 2.0 ohm and now it is working great. I use the drill bit method to wrap the coil and when i first setup this coil I didn't oxidize the mesh. So I went ahead and hit it a couple of times rolled up and it is actually working the best out of the 3 coils I have built so far. Thank you for the suggestions. I guess I just needed to re-wrap the coil and oxidize the mesh and I also let the mesh touch the bottom of the tank the first time but when I did it this time I pulled it up off the bottom.

Nice one! I used 34 awg kanthal with mine too. Mine is 2.6 ohms - I think mine must be 4/5 not 3/4 as I thought. I need to count it. Anyway - glad you got yours working.

Just sand the top cap down a bit with a piece of fine sandpaper on a flat surface, rubbing the top cap on it. Takes about 5 minutes, and then your cap will ALWAYS line up RIGHT where you want it, without even having to look. Again, IMO, easier than the +!

I use Nichrome which is 1.4 Ohms per inch instead of Kanthal which is 1.8 Ohms per inch. But I still like the way it is working for me. I have some 30 and 32 AWG Nichrome coming in the mail so I an wrap some lower Ohm coils and see what all the hype is about even though I know most people recommend 28 AWG.

I found the same issues when I experimented with 32g wire. At least once a day I was having to drain my tank and get rid of hot spots. 30g does not do that to me.
I was having this problem a few days ago. So I started double burning the wire before wrapping a coil. I'd wrap it a little tighter than normal (the wick still slides in and out), install in Aga with wick. Take out wick, fire till coil is red a few times. Then add a drop of liquid to the coil and fire. I did that a few times. Insert wick and get rid of hot spots. Once the hot spots were gone I just burned it at 4 volts about 10 times, letting it get good and red. In between burns I'd wait a minute for the coil and wick to cool. I haven't had any issues in 4 days of heavy vaping. Before I did this it was like every other hour I'd have to mess with the coil. If you notice the ohms steadily going down, chances are the coil has moved and ur getting a hot spot.

Sounds like a lot of work, but I have a lot of 32 and don't have the funds to get any 30, so I'm glad I got it working for now! Hope that helps somebody!

Use a wide barreled drip tip, and/or remove one of the filling screws.

Removing the fill screw was my solution too, when I was using a straw wick. Then a couple people told me to use a solid wick and it would draw just fine with the screw in. I didn't see how that made any sense, but I tried it. The first solid 500 wick didn't work, but it turns out I had over-oxidized it. (If your juice gets noticeably darker at the bottom of the tank, you over-oxidized it...which means cleaning the wick will be a .... fo sho!) My second wick did just fine, a little tip when running with the fill screw in is not to fill the tank all the way. I fill till the juice is almost to the metal. After you puff you'll be able to see an air bubble come from the bottom of the wick. It takes a minute at first.

I'm having a hard time getting my aga-t2 to wick. I'm using 500 ss mesh and 30ga kanthal. The first wick I made was 1.5"x2", it was wicking alright for awhile with the fill screw out. I decided to try making a wick that was 1.5"x3". I got it rolled tight enough to fit in the wick hole, did a 5 wrap coil with the 30ga Kanthal and got a 1.8ohm coil. The new wick I made isn't wicking. I've tried it with the fill screw in and with it out. The only thing other thing I've done to the aga is enlarge the air hole a little bit. Any ideas or suggestions??

How are you oxidixing the wick?
