Yes. This happens when it is connected to my ProVari. If it pushes up too far it will read an Open on the ProVari and thus, not fire. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be this way, I would assume not?

Not is correct. If your pin on your mod is too high, it will push the center rod in the AGA in too much and potentially shorting out, which caused one of my batteries to heat up to where I took it out and had to play hot potato, cold potato. Somehow or another the battery still works.

As I said in my other thread, there should be plastic threaded inserts in the top and bottom of the thing, the rod should be threaded at the top and bottom too so that you can adjust the height of the rod contact in relation to the contact pin on your mod.

My wick is behaving weird. I was vaping Gorilla Juice last night and could take 5-6 full hits without the vapor ever wavering, so i assume the wicking was good. Today i filled the tank with Boba's and now its barely wicking at all! The thickness of both juices should be similar, and im using the same wick and coil - in fact i just finished GJ and topped right off with Boba, no rinsing or anything. The fill screw was off both times.

What could be the problem?

Yes I have. Makes a little difference in the vg tank but not much. So it is 500ss. That might be the problem. I think the capillary draw on 400 would be better. I think I will open the wick hole too and also make it a tad bigger than my new larger wick to compensate for the vapor lock issue. Did you open up your air hole? Like I said, the draw already seems way loose compared to my clearos (which I like), but if it also helps the vapor I may do it. Seems like everyone does this.

500 wicks better, regardless of juice.

Ok Boba was just too thick, damn. I switched back to GJ and everything is fine; i guess a better wick is necessary.

Odd ... I rolled a 325 mesh wick, straw style, and it wicks Boba's Bounty like a champ! Never a dry or weak hit, and keeps up just dandy ... and no tilting needed until the tank falls below half full.

I left my VAMO at home with the AGA-T+ on it today...luckily I grabbed my 'juice bag' that had my eGo twist with a dripping atomizer and juice in it.

more on topic: I'm still running my first wick and coil from last week...still going strong and vary rarely do I have to poke out any hot spots....and i've only beaten 4 people to death with this heavy baton! :D

Capillary action is better on 500

Interesting that water vapor could set off a smoke detector designed to detect heat and suspended solid particulates. Go figure.

Actually, unless he had a combination smoke/heat detector it's not looking for heat at all. If it's at a university (which it sounds like it is) there isn't going to be a heat detector in a sleeping quarter as a heat detector is not classified as a life safety device much like a duct mounted smoke detector is not classified as a life safety device.

Anyways, not to sidetrack to much but a photoelectric smoke detector (which 99% installed these days are unless in an environment that would would contain chemical fires (clean fire, no smoke) uses light refraction to detect smoke. So basically, a certain amount of obscuration causes the device to activate. A vape cloud would for sure set off a photoelectric smoke detector. I know because when I forget my canned smoke @ work and need to set a detector off for testing, I vape @ it lol :D

-Edit- Also, for what it's worth most all smoke detectors installed in a commercial application has a 15 foot radius of detection all the way around it, or should if the sensitivity of the device is within acceptable range.

I wish I knew what overoxidizing was. With my torch, 30 seconds a side would have the whole wick glowing bright cherry red...and it'd be rock solid. I think one problem is people use everything from gas stoves to those little lighters that pretend to be torches to kitchen torches to propane pencil torches to propane high output torches and beyond. It's tough to make comparisons from one person to the next.

I agree on the overoxidizing thing though. Now I just use a bic lighter and some juice. I think it's a bit *underoxidized*, but it's a helluva lot easier to set up than if I use any amount of torching.

I just rolled mine and burned it with a Bic to clean the oil off and coiled it with 28g...had a hot spot played with it a little hot spot went away and its vaping like a champ right now. I think the coil itself oxidizes the wick the more its used...just a thought.

If your wick is a hair too thin or so it will begin to flood a little bit.

I'm using the same wick I made first off, so I don't think that's it, but thanks for the info. I used it first with the plastic tank, and then with the glass tank. Its the glass tank that leaks a little - I think its not sealed tight somewhere. I don't want to dismantle it because I have a good coil on it right now.

I'm actually have just the opposite problem all of a sudden. I had great wicking, vaping a long and then it seemed like it was flooding a bit so I cleaned the cap out. I then kept vaping but noticed that it was tasting a little off so I decided to check the coil and after dry burning and checking there are no hot spots. Now the wicking is completely shot, I can even tip it upside down see a bubble or two but the wick is still not wet. Anyone know any reason this might be occurring?

Also a quick note to kiwivap if its leaking around the tank I think your only means is to take it apart and check to see that the gasket isn't pinched or anything. I feel your pain I want to fully clean my tank but my coil lights up perfectly.
