Bottle laser i got off ebay and modded.

The real issue is gettin the front half off and back on...it's an interference fit, you gotta beat it out then freeze it to get it back in..which is a PITA..but it sure is slick when finished!

The pictured battery is for size reference..yes its tiny. 3.6v cr2s on the way cause OTC 3v makes literally no vapor of course.

Interesting - I thought that I had seen it somewhere before - here it is on DealExtreme - but it costs more! :)

yeah even on ebay it's higher than cisco's mod, but it weighs at least as much as a roll of quarters, it's solid brass chrome plated...you could really hurt someone if you threw it at them LOL...and its small. I wish it took a bigger battery, but a 3.6v cr2 rechargable is just about the same as a 14250 the mini pipe uses. waitin on my rechargable cr2's and i'll really give it a good testing. the mod is almost identical to cisco's laser mod with obvious differences that any modder would realize in the process...anyhow it's my first mod, did it in spare time nights and weekends a bit here and a bit there.

Nice job kc0cmp,

I modded a very similar one http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/27880-yet-another-laser-pointer-mod.html but the nose cone was threaded on so I was able to recess the atty. It probably weighs in at almost a pound of brass. I bored out the inside and got just enough room to fit a 16340, although the 3.6v cr2's work nice also.

Cisco...

Yeah now see that's the one that was pictured, but i got the one you see..where'd you get the threaded/knurled nosecone one? seriously, i need a few..omg i love this thing..i didnt love beating the crap out of it from the inside to remove the nose...but i didnt damage the circuit board like i was afraid i was gonna...give it up Cisco, where'd you get that one?

EDIT: on a side note, that recessed atty is very trick indeed, but my drill press skills would be seriously tasked by it and i dont have a horizontal milling machine or anything that'd really cut the mustard for that job. your battery owns mine :( haha

Looks like a VP2 From Vaprlife..

ok i found this model with a quick google search..yeah it does look a little like it, except that VP2 is a little more cylindrical i think, and takes a slightly more higher mAh battery i believe...think the 3.6v rechargable CR2 is only 600mAh...i saw it and thought hmmm mod...in retrospect i'd have chosen another one to do first..but i learned a lot, and now i could do this model all day long..although Cisco's with the threaded nose would be FAR superior for ease of modding obviously...beating that nose out then freezing it and shoving it back in cold wasnt the fun i had hoped LOL

I am so amazed at the things you guys do!!! Its awesome.

I cheat! I'm an amateur radio operator..so soldering is like..second nature. Thats the hard part..if you can solder, fabrication is a snap. I think most modders who havn't been soldering all their lives will agree that the hardest thing is soldering..and that's one issue i have no troubles with. Of course i can weld too, and I'm a licensed EMT, and I managed a pawn shop for years (boy did soldering come in handy there) and i used to have a gunsmith's license...the list as it were goes on...engine mechanic, plumber, electrician...and i build and rebuild everyone's computer that I know pretty much.

See, dad thought the world was gonna end and WWIII was upon us, and he determined after watching every end of the world flick that was ever produced (Damnation Alley, Road Warrior..etc etc) that the big cheese after such a fiasco (i was born in 1970..for perspective) would be the one who knew how to do everything and keep what's left of technology and indoor plumbing working. So I learned how to do pretty much everything, and can fix almost anything.

Then I got married and realized that my life woulda been easier had I been ignorant..cause now I actually *DO* have to fix everything :(
