OK, I watched the beginning of the video - enough for Midnight Apple, which is exactly what I cracked into last night. I got it in addition to the Gourmet Sampler based on YOUR recommendation, Heavyrocker (don't worry, I don't hold it against you ;)) But I have to COMPLETELY agree with PB on this one. He hit it when he said PERFUMY and FLORAL. I hated it. I steeped this stuff for 3 weeks in the hopes that I would like it. Not gonna happen. I cannot do this juice. I don't even get the apple like he said, just acrid perfume.

I'm not going to watch the rest of the video until I have the courage to try the others on my own.

Having said that, YMMV as always. JMHO (and PBusardo's, lol). Sorry Heavyr. I tried (still like your avatar though!)

Twisted Java and Cafe Mocha are unvapable, in my opinion. Coffee-based flavors just don't do it for me. I love Midnight Apple. I don't get any florals or perfume- just smooth tobacco and green apple. I really like Malibu- nice and fresh. A good early morning vape. Belgian Cocoa is delicious- like a fine chocolate mousse. A little thick, so I dilute it a little with Fusion. Better than Shamrock, in my opinion. Haven't tried Tiki juice, but its on order. Love Tribeca, not as much as Turkish, though. I do get where he's going with the nuttiness and caramel.
Could be his delivery system, if he tastes 'barber shop powder' in everything.

Somewhere out there
I like midnight apple with more green apple added. HX3 I don't like, I vaped it for awhile then just totally couldn't take it. Cafe Mocha I did not like alone, so I mix a little in with several tobacco DIY's (American and Couramin Pipe) and add Begian Cocoa, I call my mix Dark Bliss is it so good. I did not like Tiki or Malibu, did like Menthol Ice and Mist, used those when I quit smoking. I love Captain Jack and Tribeca. I think everyone's taste is a bit different. bnrk

Midnight Apple took me three or four times of use before I started to appreciate it. I find it and several other Halo flavors to be very power specific, and could never vape them full time. But they work great for an occasional drip session after dinner :)

For me, MA works best at around 8.5 watts.

I think that "barber shop powder" that Phil gets is because he's vaping it too hot. I get the same thing at anything over 9.5 watts. I almost couldn't tolerate Halo's chocolates until I dropped below 8 watts, at which point I got the richest chocolate flavors I've ever had.

Halo SubZero is my ADV, and I vape it around 10 watts. Malibu is a close second for me at the same heat.

Tribecca was the first juice I tried when I got my very first vape kit. It seemed popular and the vendor told me it was, so figured I could start vaping that way.

Argh. I thought it tasted like sewing machine oil.

Have tried to go back to it over 5 months, no go. Still can't vape anything from Halo.

This happens, sometimes there is just a company that makes juice w/a certain signature that doesn't fit your taste buds.

I find the captain jack to ashy, so I mixed it with another juice and now it's my ADV. I'll be ordering a few more of halo juices in near future. But I have found that of the 6-7 different manufacturers ive tried each has their own deliberate background taste that's unique to each vendor. Maybe that's what Phil is getting at, who knows.

Don't assume Phil has lost it, maybe he never had it whatever that may be lol. Joking of course.

I vape Halo eliquids pretty much exclusively and there is definitely an either you love them or hate them factor.. Personally I rotate the Torque56 and Tribeca.. When the Triveca gets too sweet for my taste buds I go to the Torque56.. All the tobacco flavors do kinda have a similarity in taste with the exception of Tribeca.. That seems to be the only Halo flavor all it's own.. The menthols are all pretty good but I've layer off menthol vapes since they remind me too much of when I smoked that I'm personally turned off by menthols now.. If you go Halo, definitely try the torque56, Tribeca, Prime15, Belgian Cocoa, and Mystical Menthol.. If you can deal with any of those particular flavors, then you'll be able to find a variation of it with one of the other flavors..

And I would sell it all to you, but alas, it was just a sampler (cute tin though) so not much juice wasted. I'm still going to try the belgium cocoa.

Taste is subjective tho.. I normally just watch his hardware reviews..

If you do this long enough you'll realize just how much truth there is in the above. Busardo's tastes are completely different from mine. That doesn't make him wrong, it just means there's no point in me watching his juice reviews. I feel the same way about most juice reviewers.

I hardly ever watch or read juice reviews.

I love PBusardo. Before coming to ECF, he caught me up to speed through email correspondence. One thing I did not consult PB on was juice! Remember how much PB hated HHV's Legend? How much PB loves JV? PB has his own tastes that make so sense to my palate. He's mostly a fruity guy (taste wise) save for Boba's Bounty.

I understand why people don't "trust" liquid reviews, but I think the true culprit is that too many reviewers don't know how to review juice. I don't jive with everything that Dr.Vapenstein, billherbst and Chef Josh say about what they like, but I doubt if anyone would say anything other than they KNOW how to review juice, period--all three have vastly different styles of reviewing but they are a few of the best at it. Once again, it's not that people ought not watch/read reviews, but you should pick your reviewer like you do anything else: wisely.
