Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?

Does anyone know anything about this Griffin Rebuildable Atomizer Tank? I have the smoktech vivi rebuildable, but that thing has been sitting in my tank holder for the past two weeks because I really don't like it that much. Just asking because it's $25.00 and for that kind of money, I'd rather have some knowledge of its quality before I pull the trigger.

What exactly is the difference between the Vmax and the Zmax? Variable wattage? I honestly kind of want to get something with a more elegant design, so its more of a conversation starter than a potentional bomb/detenator. I feel like people are waiting for something to blow up when I use my Maxi, and the Lambo is massive.
I would love a Variable wattage device. Though I do love my provari, the ability to switch attys, cartos, and vivi tanks on it without thinking twice would be nice.

I was actually going to get one after payday on Monday. I've been wanting a DiD clone for a while now to try it out, and for $25 it is a steal! The smoketek vivis are supposed to be horrible unless you mod it. As far as I know the DiDs and DuDs (DiD clones as they call them), don't require modding.. Just rebuilding.

I am curious as well. I think i'm going to buy some phoenixes and wire and such tonight. Also what about the Wyvern RBA?

Wooo! More Phoenixes! The Wyvern looks very similar to the Bulli. 3 Piece design (4 piece if you're using an ego). I would personally stick with the phoenix. It's cheaper, and I honestly don't really see a benefit to the 3 piece design other than that it is probably slightly easier to rebuild since you don't have to worry about the rim of the juice well. Also, the bulli is sturdier, uses thicker metal, and is heavier. If that is what you're looking for, then go with the Wyvern. If not, stick with the Phoenix. :2c:

Forgot to add that I've been talking to Eric at DiscountVapers, and he said that he will be expecting Phoenix XLs to be coming in after the company which is producing them is off holiday. So also keep that in mind if you are planning on ordering 5 Phoenixes :p

I was just going to get one or two more for now. I'll wait till the XL's come in till i splurge. Do you use your phoenixes all day? and whats your all day device ghost?

Yep! I have 3 of them in rotation. One for Crunkberry, one for LLC, and one for Rawr Hawaii Sunrise (need to get my fruit fill in), and use them on my Provari. Even though I'm very tight on budget, I was able to buy two of them..One for me and one for my girlfriend, and finance it by using the 0% Introductory APR to my advantage on my first credit card. I used to use Vivi Novas, but they have become so finicky for me lately that I quit using them. I'll give them another shot when my 1/0 size cotton wick comes in. I'm hoping that they just don't like the #4 yarn which I got from walmart. The #4 yarn works wonders in my phoenixes though! The XL's look very impressive. I'm not sure if you have seen Optimo's review on them, but there are a few improvements which look amazing!

I may pick one up just cause its still so cheap. And is any Kanthal wire on Ebay fine as long as its 32-33 gauge? or is there some I need to avoid? also can you post the ebay box wick link again?

Yeah, everyone recommends A1 Kanthal.. To be honest, I'm not sure what the A1 is, or the difference between different types.. I just bought that because that is what everyone recommends. You should purchase the specific gauge of the wire depending on what ohm reading your going for. If you're going for a low ohm reading, get the 32. If you're going for a super low ohm reading, giant said earlier that he actually uses 30 gauge. Higher ohm readings you should get 33 or 34. As I said earlier, I do 5 wraps using 33 gauge and that gets me any where from 1.8-2.1ish

Now that I have my 3rd phoenix I will definitely be carrying them every day, I just want one for each flavor profile, I love the darn things. The clones that Eric carries are a little more fidgety because the post moves up when you tighten it but that's not a huge deal in my opinion. On the plus side the clone is also extremely easy to make a vertical coil for because the posts seem to stick up higher. The trivecca is also a 3 piece device and the wire loads in through a hole in the top of the posts which makes it a breeze to rebuild & the bottom doesn't move up when tightened down. The one i received today is the flat top model with the odd little tube piece sticking up to put the drip tip in. Bottom doesn't slide up, posts are a bit short, holes are closer to the insulators but still works great.

All in all they seem to be a win in my opinion. I absolutely want a griffin/dud atty next.

Not trying to go off topic, but why don't I see you in the AiV thread Andy? Just because you aren't an AiV user (yet..), doesn't mean you aren't welcome! Super friendly people over there, check it out!

I'm about to order 2 more phoenix's (one for boba's, one for cherry blossom when I order later this week). Once I get more comfortable with the coil/wick making I'll get a griffin. Hopefully all this stuff will get here Saturday or Monday. And Andy you definately have to join in over there. I'm sure you'll be a convert soon enough.

I think that griffins only work well with SS mesh. But I'm not sure on that since I've never actually used one. I failed at SS mesh when I tried, but I'm definitely willing to give it a second shot.

Also 1/0 size wick is suitable for the Phoenix's correct? I'm sorry to ask a lot of similar questions over and over. I'm just sick of wasting money on things that don't suit me/don't work. I already am about $150 down that route in PV's. I like the provari, but it just isn't as purty as I want I guess. I'm too fashion conscious plus I want it to be different. I need to look more at the Darwins too.

Check out GrimmGreen's Video about the darwins if you're looking into one.

And I don't see why the 1/0 wouldn't be suitable, although I haven't tried it out yet. I believe that #4 is 3mm and 1/0 is 2mm. Do you already have wick? If I were you, I would go ahead and buy the 1/0 size.. I could PM you a link where I bought mine. I got 20yards for under $5. If that doesn't work out for you, I would have absolutely no problem in sending you 25 yards or so of #4. I think it cost $3 for 100 yards from walmart.

Oh I'm sure ill be in the AIV thread soon enough, I like to actually try a liquid before reading too much about it from other people, I'm kinda odd that way. This thread drew me in because of all the techie/gadget talk which is my latest interest. Plus it seems like a cool place to Exchange ideas on stuff in general relating to our *hobby*

In answer to wick size, I wrap my coils around a 3/32 drill bit & then use what looks like butchers twine for the wick. I fold it over until I have 3 pieces of wick, wet the end a bit, twist it up tight and then thread it through. Once its through I cut it so i have 3 individual wicks and fiddle until it fills out the coil.

Found the link I had saved it :D. And if it doesn't work out i'll let you know, or I'll go to walmart that is (sadly) less than 3 minutes away. I just put in the order for the wire and coil and two more phoenixes. I saw he just did a provari v darwin video so I'm gonna look now.

Sounds good! Yeah, it might seem a bit pricey at first, since the coil is like $10, wick is $5, and phoenixes are $9 ea.. But you will save tons of money in the long run. I had a stack of used wick and coils on my rebuilding table about 2 inches high and 3 inches of diameter. My girlfriend made me clean it up today though. I like just playing around with them and trying new things out. I probably average about 3 new coils per atty a week just because it is something I enjoy doing. My stock of wick and coil wire still looks like is has been untouched. :p

I watched that grimmgreen video this morning, and its quite good. My normal routine in the morning.. err.. afternoon when I wake up is an over sized cup of coffee, a bowl of honey bunches of oats, LLC, and checking for updates for my favorite reviewers :)
