Hey everyone, I tried to search for an answer, but found the information overwhelming. I have some uncoated joye 510 atomizers and want to use them in a tank. What tank will work with them? All I can find are tanks for "cartomizers" I think. I can't stand dripping, and I don't want to let these atomizers go to waste, plus I love the way they vape. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

What size are your cartomizers? Short or XL? I'm guessing XL since most Joye 510 devices require them.

If it's those tall cartomizers, simply start off with DCT Tanks (recommend SmokTech brand). It fits snugly in the tank and doesn't leak if done properly.

If its those small/short ones... Hopefully someone else has an answer.

Pretty sure he has Atomizers, not cartomizers.

OP, you should definitely try a carto tank. Great flavor and great vapor. PLus, once you get past the learning curve of priming your carto, they seem to me to be much less fiddly than a clearo. YOu can get a quality glass tank with stainless end caps in a kit for $25 from IBTanked.

I have one tank already that i think has a carto in it...i always have a problem with it leaking from the bottom of the atomizer....plus, i dont know what to do with my atomizers that i currently own....hah back in the day when i first started i had a chuck, and only dripped into the atomizer...but now there are all sorts of new stuff out there, and i have a Groove. Looking to move into the modern age. Also, what juice has the best throat it?? I dont care so much for flavor as long as its not menthol and i can feel the vapor....thanks yall!

Great question, not ringing any bells for me. You might need to contact the vendor directly to ask what tank mods they would go with.

At least some newer carto tanks are pretty good at being leak free. I've been using a notcigs M1A1 tank for 18 months now, no leaks in all that time. I use the Ikenvape 801 fusion cartos with it, though the Ikenvape 510 fusion or 510 platinum would likely be fine too. The IBTanked tank also seems to get a lot of positive buzz, though I haven't used it.

So nobody figured out what the hell that vendor is talking about? Using attys in tanks?

I know the Amp tank is coming out, but that can't possibly be what the vendor has those for. Maybe the vendor just has no idea what they are talking about? Wouldn't be the first time....

LOL What are YOU talking about? :p

He probably meant ego tank cartridges

No.

If you go to the vendor the other guy linked to, they sell stainless finished attys that THEY say are "for use in tanks" They aren't tank attys, they are just regular attys. Here is the link:

Genuine Joye 510 1.5 Ohm LR electronic cigarette 10-pack of NON-COATED stainless atomizers

The Amp tank uses an atty, but that's a brand new product, and as far as I know the only tank on the market that uses attys, and I don't even believe its been released yet anyway.

so the question remains, what the heck is VaporKings talking about?

I'm so confused, what's going on here...

So, definitely give those cartomizers a try but get the holes pre-drilled with lasers. If it's manually done with a screw that many online vendors sell to customers, it will definitely bend from a circular shape to oval and cause all sorts of leaks from the bottom if it bends too much. When i first got into cartomizers, the people at the store (not stating which, of course) used a manual screw to make a hole and when I tried to refill by myself, the juice spilled all over the place thanks to the 'bend' that went along with it. I later learned about pre-drilled holes via laser and was quite pleased with the look and having no leaks. I believe there is a thread on the topic, do a search and see for yourself what I'm talking about.
