Have a Joyetech 510, what's a good step up?

I'm new to vaping. I like it, but I have a Joyetech 510 manual and I'm disgusted with the very short battery life. I'm constantly having to swap out & re-charge the batteries. It's annoying me no end.

What's a good next purchase to replace my current setup? I'm looking for something that's not too gigantic (e.g. not twice the size of the 510 in terms of diameter or length). Is this possible? Money is not a problem; I'm willing to spend $100 or more (with a charger) for a good starter kit. I'd like something that will last, has good battery life, is simple to use, refill & maintain, with good throat hit & lots of vapor, and something I can lift with one hand without doing strength training.

Any recommendations? And please, spell out aconyms! I'm new to vaping and don't know what many of them mean.

Hello, I am new to Vaping as well (1 month in) and I ended up starting with the EGO. I really like it and rapidly discovering the battery issue I ended up with a second battery. The second battery however, is very effective. It is a ten hour battery but more importantly, it has the USB charger at the end so that i can charge while I use it at the computer. Also, for my smaller battery (5 hour) I got a carry pack that can charge it while I am walking around. The net result is that I pretty much have an active e-cig at all times. While the EGO is a bit bigger than the others, it makes a great pointer during negotiations too!!!

I also recommend the ego system. It's a decent step up from 510. Get the 1000mah batteries, they last a while and charge fairly quickly. I found that 2.0 ohm cartomizers worked well with it. Drip tip and atomizer was also fine. I would stay away from the ego tank system though. They leak sometimes, flavor is weaker and the tank atomizers were really inconsistent.

I can relate. And you are new. I had the 510 too and got tired of charging batteries. A neat cig for you that is not a goliath would be a Volt Karma (450mah...3 times more charge than your 510) and a small clearomizer...a Kanger M3. Tight and a killer vape! Clearomizers are the way to go. GotVapes has them along with others I'm sure. You'll like it.

Thank you everyone for the advice. I got a Joyetech ego twist in the 650mah and 900mah versions and a Vision Vivi Nova 2.5 tank. I have some clearomizers on order & they should be arriving by the end of the week. What an improvement over the 510! It's so nice not to have to constantly recharge batteries & drip!! I'll never use cartridges again. So far (one week in) with the Vivi Nova I've had no leaking, lots of vapor, & good flavor. The Vivi Nova provides better e-liquid flavor after the juice has sat in it for a day, I noticed. So far, using the 2.4 ohm atomizer head that came screwed into the Vivi Nova, but I'll use the other heads after my new e-liquid order arrives from Highbrow Vapor (and after I clean the tank so the new flavors shine through). This forum is a wonderful source of info for newbies like me. THANKS ECF!
