Hello and welcome Nodnerb. IMHO, for a reasonably priced, well-performing first kit, you've made a very good choice. Try to be sure your juice has wicked down well to that LR atty, upon first use(s). Also, don't be alarmed at the massive clouds and nasty taste with new atty's, it's primer from manufacture, and is burned off through use fairly quickly.
ps. You'll have best performance with thin liquids. Good link above, from Vapoor eyes er.

You'll only inhale that crap once lol. YUCK!! I doubt if it will hurt anything other than your taste buds though.

I'm not too sure what it is, really. Rust preventive oil is my guess. Yes, don't inhale for a while. Maybe until you start to smell/taste whatever fluid you're using.

Back when I used atty's, I'd just blow it out into a paper towel. Add my juice, then vape away.

You can try rinsing in water first, but in my short experience, you really need to burn it off. And yes, you risk burning out your atty. (especially a LR atty.)
