Have I been given the wrong charger?

Hi everyone, I bought a 510 tank starter kit a few weeks back and after doing more research into batteries and voltages on this site I think I have been given the wrong usb charger for my little 180 mAh battery. The charger has written on it

Input: DC 5V 500mA
Output: DC 4.2V 420mA

would this be the wrong charger for my battery type, is this not for the ego/riva

Hummmm. I just looked at all my chargers for my small batts and the highest one I have is at 200mah.. Have you tried charging it yet?? I would contact your supplier
I just looked at my chargers for the eGo's to....and I think your right.

I have several 510 charges , the usb says , input 5v 300 ma , output 4.2 200ma , the wall charger says inputac 100-240 50/60hz , output dc 4.2 v 150 ma So yours is a bit higher , on the output ma , but maybe , it's fine . I would try charging the battery , and keep a close watch on it . Does it get real warm ??? if so , it could well be , the wrong one . Best bet is to contact the vendor , where you bought it , and ask them (to be sure)

Prolly shouldn't leave it charging when you're not around or sleeping. Dunno if there would be an issue but just to be on the safe side.

5v 500mA / 4.2v 420 mA is the rating on both of my eGo chargers. You might want to contact the supplier. Have you charged the 510 batts on there before?

thanks for replies, I have been using them for 2 weeks, the batteries don't get hot charging up, but the charger gets quite warm. its just that they don't seem to be holding charge that well, in comparison to when they were new, but they are only 2 weeks old and on rotation so only one week use for each. I seem to be charging each of them about 5 times a day. time to move onto something bigger I think.

Do not charge a 510 stick batt on That charger...that is an EGO or bigger batt charger...that would go BADLY...it will damage the batts and Li-Ion batts don't take kindly to being abused...

Yes, that is absolutely the wrong charger and will damage your 510 batteries. Contact the seller and exchange it for the proper one.

so have i got the usb fast charger for riva 501 batteries? and does anyone know if the Riva 510 and 510SE 900mAh and 1100mAh Batteries (sold on liberty flights) are the same 3.7v as the 750mAh? or do the output at 3.2v. because I would only need a couple of those to upgrade to a better system... good times
