I've been on and off smoking or dipping for 17 years since I was a teen. Every time I've quit I've turned to $1 black&milds (or later swishers when the blacks got too weak for me) because I can buy just one (that lasts me 3-4 smoke sessions) instead of a pack of 20 or a whole can of dip. A denial type "not really a smoker" thing I guess because I usually get pretty hooked on swishers.
Sometimes, back in my 20s, when I've actually quit, drinking would always be my trigger and I'd think ahh I'll bum some from whoever, which turned into I'll buy this pack have a few tonight and throw it away/give it to a friend, which turned into keeping the pack, then buying packs daily pretty quick. Somehow, with vaping I'm past the point where drinking can be a trigger, I'm happy with my diy 12mg juice.
My trigger these days is mornings. I've been vaping now since june and getting up for work on weekdays 4 out of 5 days at least finds me stopping at the gas station for a strawberry swisher before I go in. Why the mornings?
I've just recently bought a vv2 clearomizer and really really liking it for driving/busy vaping. I used to use a dual coil carto for that. If I'm sitting still at my desk or at home I direct-drip onto an atty. I had an idea today about getting another VV2 and label it all up for mornings or a different color vv2 or something and mixing up some 24+mg juice for it, get me to stop going to the gas station.
I should mention that I have a goal of getting down to 0-nic juice. Is strong stuff in the mornings just going to get me vaping strong stuff all the time? I was vaping 12mg for a while until I got into diy juice and my 1st diy batch of unflavored base was 18mg for my wife, I was too lazy that day to make 12mg base for myself so l I just used her 18mg and got pretty hooked on it for 2-3 weeks. I've just in the past few days got back down to 12 again.
