I'm working on one. He needs to quit, and says he wants to quit, but is still going thru a pack a day. I set him up with some cartos, a bunch of 24 mg juice and some kgo batts a couple of weeks ago. I had to go out of town for ten days and checked on his progress yesterday.
He wasn't filling the cartos near full enough or keeping them wet, so he wasn't getting the best experience. I noticed that he has quite a tremor in both hands, so managing drops of liquid is difficult for him.
I decided that the best course of action is to let him use my reo grand. I've got him set up with that running at 5v, so we'll see if that does the trick.

I'm actually on FB right now with a friend of mine who I had been talking about ecigs with on our at work IM system (biiig company, he's in a different area). He just asked me what's the best. :) Oy. I do kind of hate that question. But I'm gonna let him try out my eGo-C and then point him towards the local store in Orlando. We're probably meeting up some time this next week, so that will be a good chance. He smokes Camel Menthol now, and I know that's a hard flavor to match ... hoping he just wants something yummy. I know his favorite cocktail is a frozen strawberry daquari ... so maybe something strawberry, with a hint of menthol would work. :)

I converted several people where I work. The only problem is keeping them on it. The process of vaping is way more effort than you ever would consider putting into smoking. I guess, like previous examples in this post, it really depends on the person. You can get a great deal of interest out of people looking for an alternative, but how do you explain that it's cumbersome at times and takes quite a bit of time to prepare things for each day, week, month.. etc. That's the one thing that turns people off. And buying pre-filleds is just a waste of money.

This is why I looked at e-cigs for months before I bought one. I discovered Stardusts at the mall, of all places, realized vaping didn't have to be a pain in the ..., and made the switch very smoothly.

Hello folks, I have actually gotten a whole bunch of smokers quitting at another non vaping forum I belong to, check it out- I haven't had a smoke since April 22nd. It's amazing because that really wasn't my intention when I started the thread. It just goes to show you how many smokers have not considered vaping as a way of quitting analogs.

I think the big tobacco companies must know they are in for a world of hurt sooner than they thought.

The title is pretty self explanitory. Have you converted anyone from smoking cigarettes to the wonderful world of personal vaporizers?

It's too early to tell now, but I just got a friend of mine, who is a pretty heavy smoker, to give vaping a try in an effort to get off analogs. I really hope it helps him, because I haven't had or wanted a cig since I started vaping.

Well first it was me, I was a long time smoker of 25 years. I smoked Export A; and loved it. However as we all know the dangers of smoking well. It hit home for me, in my family I witnessed first hand the result; terminal lung cancer, on two family members. Then in 2011; I had a scare; my doctor who warned me years ago; who said to me in 1993 " Matt if you don't quiet smoking I will see you here in 20 years; well 15 years later I thought i had a spot on my lung, which it was not after further testing. I am 36.

I tried the E CIG; the Colibi and was totally turned off by it. However a friend of mine another EXport A smoker tried it, and was like WOW!!! He now use the E CIG, and I moved to the 510; and I am in love with it. A drop on the atomizer and the cartridge is like fall of the chair. If people have the right equipment, the standards like 510's etc, I personally would not ever touch one again. Ever. I love it. and think this will save lives. I know it.

My best buddy, he is also my biz partner. He saw me quit in Nov b4 he went on vacation to his home in Germany, I was still vaping when he got back and I gave him my ego pt, he is now five to my seven months vaping only.
At Christmas I gave my sister and brother in law dinky mods from ecigworkshop, my sister came to visit in march to quit at my house while I schooled her to the best of my ability, she is now almost 4 months analog free juiced and modded out! My brother in law hasn't switched yet, but he has lots of help at home now.
What really makes me feel good is when I see another vaper close by with a pv, and I stop them to share all my gear and experience and them theirs, it's only happened twice in 7 months but it's awesome to relate! vapers are genuine people with sincerely helpful attitudes, which makes a big difference. I really see very little self serving prejudice in the vaping community, where as smokers we kind of were in a way only worried about ourselves, thank all of you here at ECF, I'm glad to be here!

I work with a guy who asked about my ecig, SS GGTS, at the time, and when I told him the cost he shrugged. I told him about a 808 and how affordable it was and he went ahead and bought it. After a week he cut his analog habit in half and I kept encouraging him and giving him 36mg fluid, wich is what is reccomended to start off with to quit. He later asked how to get more vapor for a little more money and I told him to get a ego t kit and when he did he loved it and now rarley lights up anymore. My take... more vapor is not just hype, its what it takes to get more nic. and it worked for him and I hope it works for all noobs.

I'm curious at what stores are located in Orlando as we are going this week?

This is the only physical store that I know of. Nice guy. Currently using an eGo-C I bought from him as well as a DCT. You can see what he stocks on his site. If it shows out of stock, then it's probably not in the store either. And he carries about 30 flavors of Made in the USA High Caliber.

I just started vaping a couple of weeks now and many people at work are interested in quitting. Of course, all of them want something that looks and feels like a cig, so they all got together and put in an order for the volt ecig. We'll see how it goes.....

Of the look alikes, I see the Volt recommended the most. I lasted just over 2 weeks on a look a like before upgrading to an eGo personally. Used to swap the batteries on the 808 out 4 or 5 times a day it felt like. With the 650mah eGo, maybe a total of 3 swaps a day. Part of me wants to get a bigger one (My local shop was sold out of the bigger kit in black when I bought) and part of me wants to wait and save up for a GLV-2. Ugh decisions decisions. :) And then there's the Twist. *bangs head* :D
