So you only tried it in (2) 2-flavor recipes? 1 with just TFA Coconut + VBIC? The other with just TFA Coconut + Mango? If yes, just those 2...IMO no wonder it was pretty bad.

Yes, that's correct. Thanks for that, there's still SO much to learn about flavors!

It was this version, which I don't think is the dx version (which is one I recently got and haven't tried yet). Used with vanilla bean ice cream and also in a mango recipe

The one you've got is the one that gives me Hawaiian Tropic issues. Seems to have a really narrow window between where it's not enough to be detectable and too much. I think Coconut Extra is just an all around better flavor than what you've got. I use it in a lot of recipes (always less than 2%) and it's never given me the soapy, tanning lotion taste that regular coconut seems to have.

Really though, FA has a much better coconut than either of the TFA's.

Good to know, thanks! Yeah, I'm definitely not digging the suntan lotion taste! Guess I'll just toss that particular flavor

Do you know if CAP has a good coconut? It's on sale (15% off) at nicotine river with coupon code CAP

I have CAP Coconut. It smells like tanning lotion. To me it has a really waxy, artificial taste. However, I only used it once, as a swap for TFA Coconut Extra in my Snake Oil recipe. It did not work out at all. It's in my reject drawer.

But that's just me. You may love it. I would jump on the 15% discount just to find out for yourself. That's how I ended up with it. :) You never know till you try.

This Flavorah Sweet Coconut
is what I want to try, but $16.49 for 2 oz... What the Heck???

No wonder I didn't care for my first attempt at snake oil!

That is a ridiculously high price for flavor. I think I'll pass on that one!

Or it's Coconut Nirvana. High price to find out! :)

I know, as soon as I pressed reply on that last post, I thought to myself, "but what if the stuff is amazing, I'll never know". But I've wasted at least $50 on flavors I don't like, but I guess that's part of DIY. Have you heard of any reviews on it?

It's 4 stars on the Site that shall Remain Nameless. Not a tanning lotion reference to be found! Check out its page. Some really unusual recipes it's being used in.

Interesting , the company sells a smaller size but that's listed as out of stock

But why the heck is it so darned expensive? Regular FLV Coconut is expensive too, $12.49 for 15 mls. I can't figure out why most FLV flavors are $5.49 to $7.49 but a few are appallingly expensive. Like the regular FLV Strawberry (which I have) is $5.49/15 ml but the Alpine Strawberry is $17.49/15 ml. What gives? :)

My better half & I vape quite a bit of coconut in a number of mixes. After trying a fair number of coconut flavorings, I've settled on Coconut Candy TFA/Coconut FA 2/1 @ 3-3.5% as our favorite blend/sweet spot. Might be worth a try... :D

between here and there
I failed many times when trying to do a mounds type of ejuice. What I ended up doing was I made single flavors out of chocolate and tfa coconut extra. Both took a good six months steeping time to finally taste the way I wanted it. Then i mixed the two together to taste. And got the taste I wanted....real coil gunker tho.

iirc I use onestopdiy chocolate.
:)

I always make 30ml of new blends and have only hated a couple.

My pomegranate DIY comes to mind. TFA I think and I added a couple ml of cotton candy. Tasted EXACTLY like cherry Halls cough candies. Friggin terrible stuff!

It is now making fish sick in Lake Ontario!

I have always thought of Pomegranate as more of a helper type of flavor, not so much as a stand alone.

Ha! I just checked and yup... my pomegranate is indeed FA. Methinks it will be flushed!

Is FA known to be highly concentrated? My test bottle was 8-10%-ish.
