I admit I was getting frustrated with vaping. more due to the liquids making me ill. seems most north american liquid makes want to add artificial sweeteners to everything and that stuff kills me. small batteries are a pain and hated constanly having to fill and top stuff off. now that I have this reo grand and a 2600 mah battery, I am vaping without thinking about it. swap my battery about every day and a half or so, fill the bottle every day or 2. been using the same atty going on 5 weeks now. that's changed my mind.
I spent so much money the last couple months on this crap. spent $70 this month and good for a long while. lot better than the oh $700 I spent last month hehe

I followed on your footsteps to vaping freedom, thanks for the advice along the way. I have been vaping applewood tobacco from MLV exclusively for a day+ really enjoying it and haven't had any reaction to it think it's going to be an all day vape for me. I haven't found any of Ians juices that make me wonky yet, which is nice cause all the topvapor from madvapes and honeyville swill made me chesty and rashy
I couldn't even give it away for free at our meet tuesday......PS EVERYONE MADVAPES IS SHIPPING TO CANADA AGAIN
To OP, I feel your pain. Started with a 901, then a Blu, then a 510, then a VGO, then a couple of others. Now have a Provari. What can I say, it has revived old juices, and attys. Spent my time with dripping cartdriges, cartos, ce2s, fluxos, sapphires, tank mods,and t-tanks. Found my sweet spot, Vari with various 510 attys, or Vari with tank. Golden. I have been vaping for about 1 year. It's been a journey, much money spent. But my health is better. And I spent less then on smoking. I was a 2 to 3 pack a day smoker for 23 years. Vaping has been the only thing to get me off analogs. That is worth it to me. JMHO
I have wurthers from mlv and it's nice. the caramelbacco didn't bother me, I just didn't like the taste. I split it into 2 bottles and gave them away at the vape meet. I just showed my reo to a neighbour. haven't seen anyone from here recently. I've known some people here for 25 yrs and now that I have quit smoking for so long, more people are interested in what my e smoking is about. we had a band made up of people that lived here when I first quit. when they hear I am back to gigging and in the studio again, it also helps. I love what vaping has done for me. I can sing again. I feel young(er), don't get colds....
reos rule, all other pv's drool LOL ... it's like bringing a gun to a knife fight. may cost more but gets the job done much easier and way less mess on yourself. well worth the investment. just like the old saying "you get what you pay for". don't get the cheapest thing you can buy or you will be disappointed and frustrated. spend a little extra and get something decent. resale value on these things is nearly loss free, so it's worth going for one.

I never had a Reo, but had a Kaji JM, and really liked the idea. As time went on though, and I found some other devices, I shelved it for something a bit smaller. I kinda feel now that I'm coming full circle with vaping. After getting started, and having the same problems most did, I went on that search for the biggest and baddest hit lol. It's been so long since I've had a cig, I just don't really remember what it's like to need that anymore. As for now, I'm completely happy with 808's and this Igo. Hopefully, before too long, I'll put down all the devices and be nic free. It's been so long since I could just "be" without needing a cig, or now a vape lol. Kinda exciting, yet scary at the same time being that vaping got me off of tobacco. I'll be two years on Nov 11th.

So did vaping ever get frustrating? Hell yes it did. Was it totally worth fighting through it? You betcha lol. I owe my life to ecigs. I would have never quit without them.
I plan on giving up vaping eventually myself. I have no craving for a cigarette ever again. I didn't think I would have been vaping this long when I started out. it's more habit. my job is so boring (I either learn songs or watch tv all night, and more the latter) so I have to control the eating if I quit vaping. last attempt I gained 25 lbs hehe
Yeah, I lucked out on the weight thing for a while. But it caught up with me when I started lowering my nic. Lol I think 25 pounds seems to be about the average I hear folks say on this topic. Maybe we should dub it the quitting 1\4 lol?
The e-cig, PV, juice marketplace has multiple factors that all vary with a lack of industry quality assurance. The government wet blanket most countries have on the industry slides market products to "unique" manufacturing process and varying quality from private companies.
Getting the perfect vape for your individual liking takes trial and error (and cash) to get the right juice in the right PV for the right price and with ongoing parts replacements. Some people are lucky and hit it right away, others not so much and alot are wowed left right and centre and want that next big thing - personally I kinda fit the last two types.
But I have stumbled upon good combinations of juice + PV hardware and it is like night and day in my experience when this comes together. It's not just the juice that makes all the difference and off hand I'd say it's 50/50 juice to hardware that goes to a sum greater than the parts for satisfying vaping.
I agree with the OP about catros being best when new and having a worked out schedule to replace cartos vs cleaning and re-using. And it would be the cat's pajamas to be able to go to the corner store to pick up more cartomizers to complete the whole analog experience with vaping.

Simple 18650 mod dripping on 510 (and 601s with an adaptor) atties is the best simplest experience I come up with, every 2 weeks mix up another 20 ml of home made juice. Once a month just soak the used atties in everclear and move on.
Used to be similar hoping brand to brand and back again, then I just ended up resorting to the KISS principle and I'm much happier with my vaping now.

One of the great things about vaping is that we can "change it up" if we want - unlike with cigarettes that all taste the same. That became part of the attraction to vaping after gaining a little experience. But for me, I noticed I was compelled to read up on every new thing to weed through the many changes taking place almost daily, so I could order more stuff that sounded like it would make vaping "better".
The more I knew, the more I knew I "didn't" know, and the only way to really "know" with vaping, is to try things. I've found the perfect vape for me and have stopped reading about all the new stuff - and it's very satisfying to have figured out what "works" for me, how I defined it, and to know it when I found it - now, on with life!

I have been smoke free for almost a month using e cigs. It was hard to figure out in the bigging, and I'm still learning thanks to this website. I use the joye ego-t 1000 batteries, are better then the 750 I was using. I agree it is confusing, frustrating when you don't know what to do, let's say when, your atomizer starts tasting like something burning, when you don't know what website to buy e cigs from, etc...
I still don't regret a minute of it!!! I can really breath, smell, talk normal again! I was a smoker for 22 years, so I am so amazed I've quit smoking.
I don't even need my 3 different asthma puffers anymore!
So, all the hassles of the e cig trial and tribulations I will gladly put up with, because the e cig released me from my 22 yr. prison term of smoking!!!!! Feels so good to be a free person again!
