So...I got a new YJ V2 Lavatube yesterday - yay! The two batteries it came with say ICR18650: 2200 mAh: 3.7v - I was kinda thinking that these shoud each last for the better part of the day - yeah, chain-vaping here - this does not seem to be the case... The battery that I charged today - charger showed green - just died at 2hrs 13 min of use!! The other - used 7 AM - 5PM today (when it punked out) is in the charger. I'm an unhappy camper!! Thoughts please? ETA: using carto/tanks which read 1.5 - 2.3 - vaping at 3.5 - 4.0.

I'll check it. Thanks. This is about as depressing as getting the LT was exciting. I did expect a bit more than 8 hours from a 2200 mAh. Was that unrealistic?

As Thrasher mentioned... Its a function of that amps you are drawing and how often you do it.

Me, I can go all day on an 18490 1,200mAh.

okay - calmer now. So 8 hours of constant use is not horrid - cool. My days generally run 17 - 19 hours, so I was definitely trying to go to a longer lasting battery. Imagine my rotation of charging eGos! lol

8 hours at the voltages you mentioned didn't seem that bad.

naaa i can burn one up in 8 hours of constant use, but usually on average about 12-15. higher amperage and also voltage regulation have to come from some where instead of the old ego that dies off a bit near the end.

we also dont go through the full charge of the battery as the IMR cannot be fully discharged so even though for our use the mod will say its dead the batteries still have voltage in it we just cant access it because it will ruin the battery.

so in effect with all the circuitry in the way it will seem to us that a 2000 doesnt last as long as a 1300 ego sometimes but look at the effectivness of the output from beginning to end you set 4 v and got that till it died.

As the thread title applies,is this http://www.ecigexpress.com/apv-batt...0mah-3-7v-battery-single-pack-flat-top-p-1676 . an IMR 3100 batt?? Or is it the same as http://www.ecigexpress.com/apv-batt...-7v-protected-battery-single-pk-nipple-p-1720 ,just re-wrapped wrong?? I was just wonderring i was looking for some extra IMR batts for my legacy(kicked) and came across these.I have zoomed in on both batts but i can not tell if they are in fact two different,or the same protected batts.

I'm not a Expert but I don't think that a Panasonic NCR18650A is an IMR Battery.

Funny thing - my father was a physical chemist who specialized in batteries!! Maybe I should get in touch with some of his "old cronies" for clarification (recommendations) on some of this stuff.

They are basically the same battery, the difference is that one is a nipple top and the other is a flat top.

That is what i thought too but i did a google search and 2 sites popped up with the exact same batteries and called one of them IMR and "if you want the protected version" and then listed the protected one. Both batts look exactly alike just like the two i linked in this thread. As the thread is entitled"having a WTH?battery moment.BTW: I did not mean to break into this thread with this but i could not post a new thread for some reason and seeing this thread i thought,it might be apropriate.Anyway i am almost tempted to buy one of them to use with my kick to find out if they are advertising the "wrong battery" as an IMR.As it is claimed"an IMR battery" my kick should be covered under warranty correct???? i am still in the 3 month window on my kick.

FYI: Anyone looking for a ShortStop Holocron resettable fuse.I got one today at myvaporstore.com marked down to $8.82 with the 5% discount it came to $8.46 or something like that. Not a bad price for this and they still have some left in stock.(no i do not have any affiliation with them).
