Hey so I have a uwell crown tank and using a joyetech evic vtc mini. It's 60w but with the upgrade its 75w. I wasn't having this problem until now and don't know why, bought tank 4 weeks ago and it was great. Just recently my .25 coils would get this terrible burnt taste after hitting it 5 times or so then I would sit it down for a minute pick it back up and another 5 hits or so back to the nasty burnt taste. I'm getting bubbles to come up so I think it's wicking properly. I prime it and warm it up just as I should. I stopped using the .25 coils for now till I can figure this thing out. I'm using the coils in power mode and using 55-70w. I went through like 3 coils for now been using the .15 nickel coil In TC have it at 600F and at 75w. The moisture is somewhat there and the taste as well but nothing like when I had the .25 in. After I get done pulling with the .25 I hear a sizzling. I'm currently using the ronin banzai juice. It's a 70/30 blend. And have the LG HG2 battery. Please help trying to quit cigs and this isn't helping the fact.

I don't have that specific tank, so my feedback to your question is in general...

Did you try turning your power (watts) down to see if that gets rid of the burnt taste? A burnt taste usually means the power is too high or the wick is burning or is dry. 55 - 75 watts for a 0.25 coil seems like a lot to me. Hearing a sizzling noise after you've taken a draw means the coil is still hot and vaporizing e-liquid -- another indication you're using too high of a setting.

Also, in my experience, once you've "burnt a coil" (actually you've burnt the wick) you have ruined that coil for good. You'll never correct that burnt taste with that coil, and the burnt juice will mix with the rest of your e-liquid in the tank.

When using a brand new coil, prime it and then power it in low power. Gradually raise the power setting to your preference once the coil is broken in. If you are using a new coil at your regular setting without breaking it in, then yeah you'll burn it out quickly.

Yea I have turned it down but I'm getting these dry hits with no barley no taste. It says that the .25 coils work best in a wattage of 70-90w and can handle up to 120 w. When I warm it up and everything I start it off at 30w take a few hits let it sit a min. Bump it up 5w and do the same until I'm at my desired level which is 60-70 w
