Having issues with my Prodigy v3 - won't fire!

Ok, I'm some crazy issues with my Prodigy v3. When I first got a few weeks ago, no problem it worked. However, I was using the same carto that whole time. When the carto died and I switched it out the Prodigy started firing inconsistently.

I've tried both LR and SR cartos at various ohm's and nothing! I've tried atties and DCT, nothing! It's really pissing me off. I've taking this thing a part a ton of times and cleaned as per a million tuts on YouTube. I don't know what to do - I'm at the end of my rope!

Gear:
AW 1760 1600mah bats - protected
LR Boge cartos 1.8ohms
SR Boge cartos 1.8ohm's
smoktek DCT's 3.2ohm coils wired in parallel, which creates 1.5ohms

What I've tried
Pushing the pin up higher
Tightening all loose parts

Anyone? Please Help!

Well, I was going to suggest the center pin trick... but you tried that. I wonder if that protected battery is having a problem due to amp draw. Could there be a short? Using the 1.8 ohm stuff at high voltage? Change the carto again.

I see that the V3 is discontinued on the site I checked. I'd ask the vendor.

I don't know what the amp limit on those are... the switch/prodigy or the batteries.

Well, you have to start with the obvious. Do you have a meter to check things out? Check the batteries and the resistance of the cartomizers first. It may be the insulator in the atomizer connection. Try firing it and wiggling the carto. If that effects things then, you've found the problem. I have a roughstack that won't fire some cartos without a shorty 510 extension. That indicates the center pin is too low.

Hey buddy,

If you are caught up without a mod I could always lend you my Prodigy V3 for the time you can find a fix with yours, Also I remember at the last vape meet I noticed your rubber grommet in the top cap being a bit thicker than mine maybe we could take the rubber apart and compare them on both mine and yours. That would maybe allow us to trim the rubber down to the right height and see from there. Anyways the offer is on the table I don't mind lending my mod to you and try helping you with this problem hands on , 2 heads are always better than one. If anything drop me a PM on here !!
