Iam getting muted flavors and scratchy dry vape. OK so I was all excited to try out this new device. I have been useing DCT tanks and attys for dripping and was under the impression that this would be the best of both worlds...Not ! So here I am asking for advice because maybe I am doing something wrong. It is a VIVI Nova Mini, standard configuration as it comes in the mail with a 2.4 ohm coil on an ego stick. Filled it up with a juice I'v been rocking on this week (Casablanca) both in my DCT and dripping. I was anticipating the dripping taste with tank convenience BaH! I have being doing the swirl and twirl thing , even holding it upside down for a min or more. Still the same thing. I even opened it up and put a drop of juice right on the coil ! Could the little silicone cap be on to far down and pinching the wick ? It is right up to that little ledge it sits on. I am at my wits end. Any help would be very much appreciated

Ahh so ur on a twist? Ok volts won't be a problem then. If ur using a high vg liquid it may not wick right. I'd think if the center cap was off in any way you'd either get juice in ur mouth or a burned rubber taste. I'd check around the coil and see if anything is in there that shouldn't be. Should see a wick with 5 wraps of wire around it right in the center. If there's nothing there can try cleaning it but I've never had much luck with that. Otherwise I'd pitch it and grab one of the other heads and put on it.

I dont have experience with the mini, but there is a sort of breaking in period, the flavor will get stronger the longer you use it. I was thinking maybe since its a mini, that the airflow is tighter? If you are handy with a dremel, or if you have one, you might want to make the vent holes larger so that you get more flow? I did this to all my vivis and it makes a big difference in taste and volume of vape clouds. I actually like the 2.4 on my Kgo 3.7 volt batts better than the 1.8. I found that I prefer a cooler vape and since I dont care for throat hits the 2.4 and 2.8 are preference. I hope this works out for you.

It's there on my VN (not mini tho).

Sounds like a wicking issue. What juice did you say you are using (PG/VG %)? Also, short wicks or long wicks?

EDIT: Also, make sure the flat side of the little metal washer inside that silicone cap is pointed down toward the coil. I guess it CAN pinch the wicks, but I haven't had the problem yet. May take a day to get it wicking well too. Took a day for me to break mine in. Remember to tip once in a while too...seems to help. Sad really, but not uncommon. Gravity and all. Fuller tanks have less of a problem and need less tipping.

I have heard of people modding it to widen/lengthen the wick opening on the sides. I assume it's due to thicker juices or variances in production.

Best guesses.

Anyway, singing off for the night.

You COULD try an easy experiment. Thin the juice. Use a small bottle (like a 3 ml) and 1 or 2 drops of either PG or water or vodka in it and fill 90% full with juice. Shake it well. Then fill tank and try it. May take a bit to see the effect. Also, add 1 drop of juice right on the coil (probably best to take the cap off, and put it back on the same way ...flat side of metal washer facing down.)

Good Luck!
