Having trouble taking apart my iClear 30

Hey,

So I wanted to take apart my iClear 30 to clean it today, but when I went to take it apart I could not get the bottom metal part off. Sorry for the lack of technical terms, I'm new here. I've seen videos on how to take it apart, but I just can't seem to get it to budge.

I was going to change the coil heads in my daughter's iClear 3o tanks yesterday. One came apart easily. The second one I couldn't budge even with a pair of pliers. If I had two pliers I likely could have gotten it, but I didn't.

Yeah I grabbed the bottom metal part with pliers, but I didn't want to use pliers and the glass part. I was afraid I would end up cracking or breaking it.

You might want to try soaking the whole thing in hot water, dry off the outside, and then try to get it apart again.

I used those things you use to open jars with (have no idea what they are called) and it was really tight, took a while to get the bottom off.

So soaking the WHOLE thing wont harm it at all?

Well, actually I meant taking it apart as far as you can and soaking everything. But of course soaking all the parts is what you want to do anyway. There's no part that you don't want to clean/soak.

I just got my first iclear 30 and protank 2. seems to me the iclear makes better vapor, but I can tell it's gonna be harder to maintain. do they sell replacement heads for it like the protank?

I've been having this problem with several types and brands of clearomizers. Wondering if it might be worth starting a new more general thread to ask for ideas on preventing this from happening and/or whether there is any lubricant that would help. I have serious hand problems and this is turning into a major problem for me, to the point of making vaping a no go.

Yes they sell new coils for the iClear 30..... However they are more expensive than the ones for the protanks.

Yes they do sell replacement heads for the iClear 30 Happy Vaping!

They are just called grippers, made of rubber.

If you work at a hospital you can get a tourniquet or a drain tube to use for the same thing.
