Having troubles with SS mesh

Decided I would try and give it a go, if I can't get it, guess I'm going to be holding off on it, however I would like to have it going. Can't seem to get a single coil over 1 ohm. Could I wrap a pretty coil on the mesh then put into the wick home? It's a hcigar steam turbine clone. 30g kanthal with 325 mesh

Yes, that's how everyone did it before micro coils hit the scene.
SS Mesh can be a pain if you don't have a mech mod. There are always hot spots where the oxidation gets scratched off. If you have a mech, drip some ejuice on it and pulse it to get the oxidation back. If you dont, you could try pulling out the whole wick and coil very carefully, add some ejuice to the wick, and torch the wire and wick together. You then have to be really careful putting it back.

I just put a single micro coil on at 2.1 ohms with cotton, I've been itching to get this running, now to find something to plug these other holes with

You could make a stopper by rolling up some aluminum foil, just don't short it to the positive post.

Ah thanks, seems I need lower nic on here, deeper throat hit and in a few minutes got a bit light headed. Thanks a bundle for your help, if I want to get mesh goin I'll wait until I get my mech!
