Sitting here watching one of the few shows I like and the method of poisoning was liquid nicotine in a drink. Knowing what I do I kind of snickered until the emergency room room doctor made the comment that it was readily available because of e-cigarettes.

The ANTZ are invading our TV programs.

I saw it too, and started ranting about how nicotine poisoning from ingestion would make you BARF, not foam at the mouth and collapse breathlessly. Idiots. Also, the strongest nicotine I have in my house is 100mg, which is 10% nicotine, and that is NOT "highly concentrated" in ANY lab! And most people don't even have that 10% nic available UNLESS they DIY ejuice! IDIOTS! A teaspoon of 100mg nic might make an adult barf for days, so they might die of dehydration or aspirating vomit, but they wouldn't stop being able to breathe, UNLESS they aspirated vomit!

IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!

Before vaping I wouldn't have had any idea liquid nicotine was readily available... Being a new fad for some, I'm not surprised it has been incorporated in tv shows... Hollywood types are definitely on the same side as the majority of those against e-nic, but I can't imagine there is any agenda, other than incorporating pop culture into television...

Funny. I just saw that scene a couple of minutes ago from DVR. He neglected to say that highly concentrated isn't readily available.
It rubbed me the wrong way but I doubt it'll make or break anyone's opinion of e-cigs.
I watch the show for the scenery and it's something I can keep up with giving it half my attention while I surf the Interwebz.

irritating comment but inconsequential IMO.

OP why did you make duplicate threads?

I heard a story where the US ?CIA? tried to assasinate Fidel Castro with a nicotine concentrate - the sulfate used as insecticide for crops. We all know its likely to be detected in a drink and provoke severe vomitting that would usually expel so much that its not truely dangerous. But perhaps 5ML of 100mg could be spilled on clothes for dermal absorbtion and be deadly.
