I'm not sure if my vaping habits have change or juice got in my hcigar VT167 but... I have a habit of pressing the fire a button a few times before taking a hit (without activating the coil), just surt of bumping it with my thumb so the screen comes in, and even a few little quick bumps will send it into lock mode. Just a sensitive fire button or? It's quite annoying actually. Any suggestions?

Man to Doctor: It hurts when I do "This."
Doctor to Man: Don't do "That."

Any suggestions?

Stop pressing the button for no reason.

Cheers

Yes, but it's supposed to go into lock mode with 5 clicks. It seems the button is hyper sensitive and has so short travel that just some 'rocking' bumps with the finger and it sends it into lock mode.

LOL... one of the first things those of us interested in such did with our DNAs was to change the standard, and annoying, 5 click to 3 clicks. Unlike a normal mod's power on/off function... the "lock" on DNAs also gets to the adjustment screens. Useful. And fewer (intentional) clicks is better.

I'm guessing that's not a suggestion you can make use of. :D

Like you, I "wake up" most of mine when I pick them up. I just don't usually keep my thumb on/near the button. So it does lock occasionally, but it's pretty rare.

Sorry, best advice remains... "Don't do that." ;)

I would recommend disassemble the mod and spray the button as best you can with a can of contact cleaner.
I've done that with a few of my Picos and its helped a lot.

Contact cleaner comes in a spray like WD40 with one of those tiny red straw like tubes. If you hold the tip of the red tube right up to the button, a lot of forced pressure can clean out ejuice or lint.

Might help. I can't think of anything else that has worked for me as well as contact cleaner. It works well for cleaning out micro USB charging ports on mods too.
