I'm liking the talc powder they pack the sleeve in, makes it slippery. Got it from sweet-vapes.

Just got my sleeve in from eBay. Not bad. There was a little straggly that I had to trim off an edge but other than that it's fine. I'm really pleased with the way it feels to touch. I thought it would be much stickier but it's not. Haven't done the pocket test yet though. Looks tough.

Thank you.

Does all DNA200 mod need to set the resistance and battery?
the manufacture should be the ones populating those settings but most don't take the time or some input incorrect numbers. it's best to run case and battery analyzer yourself that way you get exact numbers for your mod and lipo.

Hi guys, sorry if someone has asked this before but how long does your vt200 last? Funnily today, I charged it over night and got 100% and as I got to this evening it has gone down to 21%.

I feel it's a little to fast how I go through the battery. For everyone's information, I'm using ni200 with a tempreture of 165c and firing at 16.5v.

Hope to hear everyone's expert opinion on this. Thank you in advance

Thanks for the reply gentlemen, it seems that battery on this baby is pretty much similar with both of yours . Oh gosh, what a let down because my previous mod the IPV3LI, could run for 3 days until it drains.

Thanks for correcting the error, it's definitely 16.5w and thank you so much for the invaluable input. Cheers!

You're comparing a dual 18650 to a 3s lipo. The 3s lipo in these DNA 200's is very similar to a single 18650 in terms of battery life. The reason and true benefit of a 3s lipo is how many watts they can push. The 165W IPVLI doesn't do sustained 165W. It can pulse it but can't sustain it. A lipo can. So with this mod you are trading battery life for power.

I see, what you're saying is that the batteries are setup in series instead of parallel. Now that's interesting, 1300mah running the whole day. That's definitely a big plus vs the 5000 or 6000mah with max voltage of just 4.2v from the batteries.

Yes, the "s" in 3s stands for series.

Back on page 7 of this thread, Shekinahsgroom stated:

" You would handle the warranty thru your vendor. They in turn contact Hcigar and get a replacement.

Hcigar's warranty is guaranteed for 1 year, so the vendor where you buy it would also have to issue you a 1 year warranty. If they don't, you're being short-changed and you should look for a vendor offering the full year.

Keep in mind, everybody "should" be selling it for the same price...or at least for $169. So if you selected vendor says only 6 months warranty, then you have no valid reason to accept that offer.

Costs?

Unknown...good questions to ask the vendor. May not be the same everywhere. "

So here's my story. But will state up front that after some H E double hockey sticks raising with the kid behind the counter, I did get mine replaced.

1. Purchased my Hcigar VT200 from a local vendor on Oct. 16th 2015. (Vendor also has a website too and is well known)
2. Brought my VT200 home, downloaded the escribe software and created a member account with the escribe forum. (did this latter part, just in case I had a question or needed help with the escribe program in setting up my new VT200)
3. read some thing in the forum and did the tutorial
4. Set up my VT200
5. began to vape and loved the darn thing.

6. Everything was great for 3 weeks. I took my lil beauty everywhere with it's sexy side kick the uwell crown with its nic coil in it.
7. after 3 weeks, (Nov. 9, 2015) while sitting at my puter and vaping on her, she laid over and just died in mid vape. I mean everything left her. No life signs at all. She was outright dead!

8. Next morning, I took the VT200 back to the retail vape store I bought it from and was immediately informed, that they only warrantied it for 2 weeks ( how convenient) from day of purchase. I like to hit the roof immediately!

9. I mentioned that the devise had a 1 year warranty and that, while I understood it was a manufacturer warranty, they needed to understand that the manufacturer, doesn't do business with the end user/consumer, but they did do business with the retailers ( Later, I confirmed this by getting on Face book and chatting with an Hcigar rep from their facebook page).

10. The kid in the store made a phone call and after some tense minutes, he turned and said they would exchange it, but that I had only two weeks from that day. If it died again after the two weeks, they'd do nothing! So while I have a 175.00 New VT200, It's about as good as the dead one now because without a warranty, it's about as good as a sitting out in the open by itself. The retailer must have either

A. not gotten the vt200s they have through Hcigar or
B. Simply don't want to be bothered trying to do RMAs with the manufacturer.

Either way, i'm out a VT200/$175.00 if this one goes after two weeks and dies too.

So in summation: I thought I was dealing with a reputable local business but I wasn't.
But what can we do when we run into these situations? Nothing! but take the loss and not do business with the place again and do our level best, to steer others vapers away from such places. Getting legal council isn't cheap to try and make a retailer do what is right and even the law these days, can be manipulated and often are anyway even if there is a law. So this means the moral right things to do are not part of the law. In other words and they bare quoting again.

"you should look for a vendor offering the full year" Few do by the way. I've only found one and there's all sorts of policies to follow to even try and get it if your VT200 should die.

When it's working! The VT200 is "Awesome Sauce", it's sexy looking but be forewarned too. It does also have a heat dissipation problem. IE sit a standard TFV4 with dual coils on it and vape it a few fast vapes at 70 watts and you'll soon learn that not only does the addy get hot, but so will the vt200 case and this can't be good for the dna200 board that sits inside. Especially as close as the board sits to the 510 connection inside.

So... I just plugged in my VT200 and escribe told me that there was a firmware upgrade for my mod, 09-30-2015 upgrade it said I think? Is this the newest upgrade?
Yes. That is the current software. There is a beta escribe version available from evolv but it loads that software version into the DNA200 chip.
