hi,

i've had some issues with my experience with the 510. most everybody here has been very helpful to me.

i did order some more e-liquid (but skipped the menthol flavor this time even though i am a die hard menthol person). i'm going for more creamy taste and smoothness now in an effort to get the harshness out of my throat, the reason for my post:

I checked, my menthol from intellicig is eco pure VG, 20mg. i've cleaned the filler and cart and then replaced them with a couple more drops and on the atty too. less harsh, still some bad not as bad.

the only other thing i am noticing is that i will get an instant headache after I vape one hit. what's up with that? I never got instant headaches with analogs and they were "stronger".

Please tell me i am not allergic to VG also? I would really like to continue vaping (eagerly awaiting new flavors and juice :)), however don't want to give it all up and continue with analogs due to these issues. hubby is still vaping away with no problem. i tried his, i almost choked to death! 8-o

for comparison, i smoked an analog today (i'm down from 15 a day to about 5 now)and the menthol throat hit is alot milder (camel menthol regular).

any suggestions or ideas would be greatly considered.

thanks

Probably 1 of 2 things. Either too high nicotine or you are getting dehydrated.

Many have stated here and I have noticed from personal experience that Vaping dehydrates you. I think this is a dirfect affect of the vapor/nicotine. Drink more water.

Hopefully you arent allergic to VG. Try VERY low nicotine strength PG and see how that does for you.

okay i think i have found the culprit. did some experimenting, changed carts, replaced with one of the factory ones w/tobacco only and added kamel reg drops (what hubby is evaping). miss my menthol but there is way less throat hit which for me is better because it was hurting my throat, it is still a little scratchy but not bad, but one good thing--no more minty metal stale spearmint taste! that was yuck! and no more headaches (at least instant anyway). this seems to be working so far. now if i could only convince my brain that reg e liquid as opposed to menthol e liquid (u know when u used to be out of cigs and bummed one off someone else, "dude, i only have marlboro's, oh okay that will do" kinda thing, is better than anything right now. my brain is harder to convince than anything. bad habits are really hard to break! i think it's really a mindset kinda thing.:|

what MG of nicotine are you vaping?? imho if your still "needing" NOT wanting a analog smoke, you may actually need to go up in the nicotine level!! contrary to what other have said in here, my personal exp. was i had started with 24mg mar-bro and still "needed" an analog .. having nic withdrawl fits. i went to 36MG wich did make my throat sore, but only for a few days- then it was fine, but did not touch an analog since i started the 36mg. this is just my opinion

I smoke 20 mg Ecopure Menthol EVERYDAY myself, its one of my all day vapes and its by far the lightest and smoothest liquid I have. I would say something else is going on, dry or flooded atty, bad filler material, something like that, even iimproper cart alignment with melted cartridge, as I did experience both those things when getting started. I had one day early on where no matter what I did it seemed to burn my throat. In retrospect Im guessing dry atty, but even so, maybe it was flooded. Odd how both extremes kind of produce the same experience for me.

I've never liked ecopure menthol (it's actually mint - unless you get the one actual menthol flavor at innovapor and they're adding it to rich - doesn't come that way from Ecopure).

And if you get a true menthol, esp. if you were a menthol smoker, I would doubt whether you'd get headaches from that. You could try some menthol crystals and make your own or try other menthols - most dekang menthols are now mint I believe, and the Janty, freshsmoking menthol is Joye juice.... last I ordered. I'm not sure of cignots other VG flavored juices - you could email them and ask. I would have guessed the nicotine too, though.

I smoked menthols ...2 pks a day for over 40 years....and now I do not vape menthol. I love all the other flavors especially coffee, cappuccino, toasted toffee... and especially blueberry crumble. I never thought I would like anything that wasn't menthol!! Try a few of the other flavors out there and I think you will be surprised! I also had a sore throat for about a week. It went away as I got used to the vaping and I drink a lot of liquids. That will help you too!
