OK..This is going to be completely off subject but I just want to let everyone know that here in the Midwest extremely hot weather is expected. With the high heat and high humidity heat indices are gonna be outrageous. Here in Indiana we are expecting heat indices at 110 Degrees.

I wanted to give everyone a heads up on this because for all the years we all have smoked some of us are now asthmatic, COPD, emphysema or all 3. I have met a lot of great people on here and I would hated to hear that something has happened to anyone.

We dont even have a chance for rain for the next 10 days here in INDY.

Welcome to my entire summer ;)

Seriously though that kind of heat is no joke. Please please please take extra care to stay hydrated. It does help.

I am cutting my grass at 8 AM (that should make my neighbor happy) and I ain't going out of the house. Since my Bulldog holds in his body heat he will be allowed out side for 10 min intervals. I will stay in all day, vape and watch a Big Bang Theory Marathon..... BAZINGA...... LOL

how is it off subject you started the topic:confused: lets not forget to drink extra water ether we are already dehydrating our selves with vapor. Some gator aid cant hurt when its extra hot

Off the subject meaning out of context for the forum. I have Gatorade, water, tea (no Dew this week. That will dehydrate you very quick). Just gotta keep an eye on my bulldog when he goes out and I'm good.

I live in central Illinois and there's no chance of rain here either for about 10 days. After I do the weekly shopping early tomorrow, I plan on laying around in the ac all week. I just wonder how this weather will affect the farmers crops this year?

I have a garden and I have been watering it for about 30 mins each night around sunset. My tomatoes, green beans and cucumbers have taken a severe hit but they are slowly bouncing back. I planted this garden because everyone told me that I couldn't do it one handed. Boy boy boy did I prove them wrong.

Mid 70's all week here in NE ohio.

Yeah but in the winter time you guys get slammed with Lake Effect Snow. You all don't talk inches you talk feet. Give me 55-60 degrees during the day and just cold enough at night for a few hrs of the fire place with Radio Classics playing on my Sirius on the Laptop and my Vape and I would be a happy man.

Surprisingly, it has been quite mild the last couple winters. I think we will get slammed this year, though.

Yeah being a retired truck driver that's one thing I DO NOT miss. Driving around the Great Lakes. There is one spot in northern Indiana that it can be a beautiful day and suddenly it goes straight to hell and you feel like you are driving on Ice Road Truckers and if you are relaxed it will catch you off guard quick. Its the worst 20 miles of your life. And once you get out of it you are like ... because it goes from blizzard to a bright sunny day that quick.

Ok, first I have to say YEAH!!! I've been waiting for heat/no rain all summer for us here Indy! Secondly, this "off topic" came up at the perfect time so thanks OP! I've been searching for answers to my question which pertains to heat and vaping devices.

I've read a few stories here and there about batteries blowing up and had me freaked out a little. I'm new to vaping so don't want to make a dumb mistake. I'm heading to Phoenix (even hotter than Indy and loving it!) and worried about my Halo Trition. In luggage, where its going to get real hot, am I safe to have the battery/tank, unattached and stored?

Also, what if you want to vape by a pool and its blazing saddles hot out? Like if I'm laying out, have my Triton in a beach bag and its hot outside and this thing is in a HOT beach bag?? Will the devices be ok? In other words, can these things over heat w/out being on a charger.

Working with a low of around 80F here. 83 right now.

Yeah you all get some weird weather in Minnesota. Hell it should be snowing there in late Sept early Oct shouldn't it? LOL... I drive for a company based out of St. Paul/Minneapolis. I remember being shut down there 2 yrs ago for the weekend in the winter. There was no snow on the ground but the day time high was -10 with a wind chill of -19 and the low that night was -15 with a wind chill of -30. The first night I had on a pair of Thermals (tops and bottoms), sweat pants, sweat shirt and thermal socks and that was just to sleep in my truck with my APU running full bore. The next day the 6 of us there doing our 34 hr reset forced the Safety Director to OK rooms for us at the Ramada. He was cool about it. Little did we know we already had the rooms that Friday for the weekend but we didn't know it. I got out of there just in time that Monday because you are got slammed with a snow storm. It is a very cool company. Its a shame I have to retire from them...

I have the EGO Evic. I took it with me to Walmart and left in in the panel while I went in to shop for about 30 mins. I came out, loaded the car, grabbed my Evic and noticed it was real hot. I pressednthe button and the temp sign was blinking like crazy. I got home and let it cool down and then everything was fine.

I too have read the horror stories on heat causing the batteries to blow. What you might wanna do is call Indy Vapor and ask for the blonde that works there. I'm sorry I can't remember her name but she is very very very knowledgeable about all of the mods. She is a true vapor guru. She can answer all of your questions.

Get one of those freezer packs wrap it in a towel. When you're not using your PV, place it on top of the wrapped freezer pack and cover it with another towel. Keep both out of the sun. The towels act like insulation. The packs are small enough to pack if traveling. If you're flying, put your ecig gear in your carry on luggage. If your driving, keep your gear in the main area of your car. I doubt the trunk will be air conditioned.

Hopefully you will have a fridge in your room with a freezer. If not, see if the hotel will put the freezer pack in their freezer for you. Most try to accommodate guests, no matter what the request.

Great idea! I guess I could also just bring some zip lock freezer baggies, fill with ice and use that? Every hotel has those ice bin things so it could be easy and just keep refilling as needed. I figured in severe heat, it could be a problem for both the PV and I assume not good for the liquid either.

And I guess I can put the PV in my purse on the plane. What have you done with your extra bottles of juice? I'm staying in Phoenix for over a week so I def plan on brining quite a bit of stock pile on juices. I just don't want the TSA freaking out on me if I had a ton if juices in my purse. I'd prefer to just pack up the juices in the suitcase I check in only if I know they travel ok...heat and so forth.
