OK so:

DAY 1:

Got my Provari today (amazing device, extremely well built just beautiful) a pack of boge cartos a HH357 atomizer and still waiting for atom bomb RBA.

First impression (on the HH 2.0 ohm) was hmmmm not so good, but it turns out i was flooding my atty, after experimenting, getting my fingers juiced up voltage up, voltage down, voltage up again and just an overall mess everywhere I started getting good vapor, 70 30 mix; I found it a bit too harsh on the throat, makes me cough but definitely good! 50 50 is really good. I bought some tobacco flavor juice and must say it taste nothing like tobacco, but again not bad. I feel the inmediate difference in my mouth, when i smoke analogs i feel the need to brush my teeth like 10 times a day and as i write this i haven´t had that urge, my mouth feels so clean. I hope I don´t forget to brush them by way :p.

After a couple of hours vaping I started feeling a slight pain in the back when i took a deep breath (lungs maybe?) but the pain slowly faded away. My 18350 battery had such a short life, i was expecting a little longer, but no problem. Filled up a boge with the 50 50 which was my favourite let it sit for about 5 minutes and after a couple of puffs it started tasting burnt! The flavor never went away so i guess that carto will find a home in the trash.

But the overall goal is stop smoking and I haven´t even looked at an analog the craving as I expected was non-existent

So that is about all i can say that is worth saying about day 1, also i started vaping at about 2:30 pm so not truly an entire day.

I just read a thread about someone who vaped for 3 years and stopped vaping because was getting breathing issues. She said that she started with analogs and problems dissapeared.

This kind of things makes me feel worried i just spent 400$ i hope i made a good investment.

But, I also saw a vid on youtube from a guy that shows his lungs x ray from when he was smoking and when he had been vaping for 3

years and the improvement is evident, the x rays showed a much clearer lungs.

So what is the deal? i am still deciding.....

Everyone is so different and we have different levels of lung damage and other disease already at play. So no one will be effected like the next person. For me, I was a 27 year smoker 1-2 ppd. The last year of my smoking I couldn't breathe doing every day normal activities. I'd spend 30-40 minutes every morning expelling the nasty phlegm and tar that clogged my lungs. I'd choke on my food at nearly every meal, I'd weeze all night long so I could never get any real rest and I would go through coughing fits if I even attempted to laugh. I was a miserable wreck. I knew I would die if I didn't quit smoking.

Now I've been vaping for nearly 2 years and my life and health has improved immeasurably. I no longer suffer from any coughing fits, I can keep up with my husband when he hikes, I actually enjoy exercise now since the slightest exertion doesn't set my lungs on fire. I've lost weight, quit many bad habits simply because I have will power again. Ecigs have absolutely saved my life and I'm not at all worried that it is hurting me. I know the damage ive already done.

DAY 2:

Got the day off so I was able to fiddle around with cartos juices provari etc etc. And all i can say is wow! Delicious vapor haven`t had a single cig today and to be honest I don`t think i could have one I am a bit dizzy with all the nicotine i`ve been vaping. Definitely I like BY FAR the 50 50 blend for me it is perfect, too bad i bought 2 30ml bottles 70 30 it just makes the throat hit waaay to harsh. ( QUESTION 1: Is there a way to lower the throat hit with some home available stuff?).

I absolutely feel better, i don`t know how to explain it but the best word to describe would be "awake". At times i get a little dizzy, maybe my head feels heavy and then again light, hehehe sorry I am not to good describing feelings.

I can say by today I REALLY DON`T LIKE ATTYS!!!! They deliver good flavor and vapor but what a pain, for me if only attys existed vaping would be a big no no.

And again, sorry if i come up like a fanboy but wowowowowow the provari is amazing! I dropped it today though i can say i felt more pain than the provari :(. But no dents or sratches so all good, i inspected it for like 2 hours:laugh:.

Been drinking plenty of water so haven`t felt dehydrated.

Overall a good day, this is officially my first full day without a smoke WOOHOO!

Sounds like you are getting the hang of it Gatag, and doing really well! Making sure your carto is nice and moist and soaked right through the filler is the key to good taste in MHO. I much prefer the draw, and performance of Kanger cartos I had trouble with dratty taste when I tried the boge. I smoked for almost 40 years and had COPD,and was coughing and wheezing all the time, using 2 different puffers, just to keep my lungs working. After 20 months vaping I no longer cough, don;t need puffers, and feel much better. When I was in hospital after an accident recently my blood oxygen levels were 99% or 100% each time! I was also able to vape in my hospital room without bothering my roommate . I think you have made a great lifestyle choice, keep up the good work vaping! Vaping saved my life.My sense of smell came back at 4 months ciggie free. I was at a music festival, and suddenly I could smell everything! It was kind of freaky it happened that fast. I could smell someone smoking a ciggie or just smoked one ,smell the msg in my bowl of chinese food I was just about to eat,and smell the sweaty bodies all around me. I am a dog groomer and suddenly I could smell the dogs whose owners smoked from several feet away.

I was annoyed at the fact that I would spit everytime I took a puff of an analog and I hated those mornings where you would wake up gasping for air

This makes me want to (jokingly) break out the Bob Saget line from Half Baked. "10 a day for a year?!? Are you kidding me? That's not an addiction!"

Doesn't matter if it's 10 a day or 100 a day. The important thing is that you quit. What an addiction is to one may be nothing to another.

I have no idea about the health issues since it appears that there have been no long term studies. If we all feel better, it can't be all that bad. Less tar and numerous chemicals than analogs and many of us breath better. As for myself, after smoking for 50 some years plus with no visible side effects so far, and trying to quit numerous times (for 6 months once) I find it amazing that using the e-cig actually does satisfy my analog cravings. My wife is still not all that thrilled, she is an avid anti smoking type, but has tolerated my habit for 46 years and we are still in love LOL. She lets me vape in the house and doesn't complain about smells (because there are none). I really enjoy being able to take a drag periodically rather than smoking a whole analog. As for cost, I made my own analogs for years at a cost of $.70 per pack, therefore e-cigarettes are actually more expensive (as I start up with equipment). In the long run, after I find my daily flavor to vape and then purchase it in larger amounts, it should be less expensive.

Best Wishes to Everyone

Hello all, I too am new to this forum and vaping. Bought my kit on Sep 17/12 and smoked my last analog on Sep 21/12. I've noticed definate health improvements (no more cough, better smell & taste, lighter chest, easier breathing) and am looking forward to even more improvements as time goes by. I smoked for 50yrs and have been trying to quit forever it seems. Vaping is the only method I've found that has been successful for me. My husband, family & friends are all thrilled and fully supportive. This forum is a godsend and I'm showing it to all my friends & family who still smoke but desperately want to quit. Thank you all so much!

DAY 3:

Hello everyone! So.... DAY 3 without a smoke, I have to admit i feel proud of myself, and very thankful to e cigs
Yesterday what happened was: I was starting to fall asleep very happy and amazed by easier respiration when out of nowhere i started to feel difficulty breathing rapid heartbeats it was horrible!!!!! I don`t know if maybe i had a panick attack but it felt very bad, calmed myself down and eventually felt better and was able to sleep, so that was something i wasn`t expecting.

Today i tried to vape as minimum as possible maybe i just vaped too much yesterday giving me shortness of breath or maybe a panick attack. I have had sweaty hands, my lungs are still hurting when i take a deep breath but i am thinking this symptom to be withdrawal related.

But once again managed to stay away from analogs so ongoing battle but i expect to win the war.

Thanks everyone.

Gatag ..

When you first started analogs, can you remember how you first felt as to the symptoms. Was it similar to your day 3 situation ? I remember when i first started analogs symptoms i remember, dizzines, shortness of breath, and when i quit analogs i had 2 days of bad withdrawls as it was the same as day 1 on analogs. I guess its different for everyone .. If I managed to quit im sure you can also. Have faith braddah think of your health and the people that's around you that will give you support.

I am eternally happy that after 3 months, I can breathe again and not cough up a fountain of phlegm every morning I wake up. I know that is a little disgusting, but I focus on that though of how disgusting the smelly coffin nails were.

To those questioning the fight or suffering from shortness of breath and just starting out.. stick with it, you won't regret it.

I've noticed a few individual things that have happened since I've managed to throw away the analog cigarettes.

1. Aging wrinkles have subsided some and circulation has improved. Pins and needles are gone.

2. My rosacea is subsiding to a degree. The only time while smoking this happened was while I was running 10 miles, five days a week. I'm currently not on a workout routine.

3. Breathing has improved.

However, due to the fact that I've been quit for a relatively short period of time, my body is still ejecting the tar build up from smoking. It was pretty bad the first few days, but slowly subsiding in severity. If there's one thing I have to say I enjoy most about going to the electronic cigarette, it's being able to breathe through my nose again. I know that's silly, but really, sinus congestion is almost completely gone and it feels awesome. I think I'm allergic to cigarette smoke because when I'm around friends who smoke my eyes start itching and my nasal cavities almost completely constrict.
