I used my multimeter and checked the voltage on the 905. It seems the voltage is regulated to 3.7 volts. The 14500 battery I am using was tested at 4.1 volts
The original voltage of the KR808D-1 is 4.0 volts
The voltage on my USB with battery passthrough is 4.0volts
The 510 batteries I tested fall between 3.7 and 4.0 volts.

One thing I noticed with higher voltage seems to be better flavor. Not necessarily higher vapor. But I think the taste is better.

The 905 v2 is used with a 901-510 connector and then a 510-901/808 connector. I was not able to use the cartomizer directly as the 905 does not have holes for airflow. Has anybody modded this by drilling holes??

Are these voltage readings with no load? If so, they're pretty much useless numbers.

some already checked the DSE905 voltage and it seems it in fact regulate the voltage a bit downward, but imo on the 14500 batteries that helps flavor more than anything else.

my wife is especially sensible and a full loaded 10440 or 14500 gives a too harsh taste in her opinion....on other devices.
i taste it myself, but its not that much a concern for me. currently i have not used the 905 that much, i ill test if the voltage is kept at 4.00Volts even if the batterie falls below the 4.20V full load.

*hope it makes sense what i type.

[edit] just checked a batterie reading 3.8V, put inside the device the atomiter connector reads 3.48V , but still performs quie ok.

Really?? that's so weird. 3.4 seems kindda low.

The 14500 battery reads at 4.1 volts.
Using the same battery with the 905 it reads 3.7 volts.

The main issue I seem to have is that with a regular KR808 battery, the taste is better and so is the drag. I take the same cartomizer and put it in the 905 and the taste is gone. The flavor is noticeable stronger on the battery at 4.1 volt.
