Morning folks!

I have a meeting with the U.S Customs and Border Protection folks later today with regards to getting my NEXUS card. Hopefully it GOES (no pun intended*) well and I don't have to spend 2 hours in customs/immigration/security lines every time I need to fly in and out of the U.S.


*GOES: Global Online Enrollment System. Their site where the application is processed.

I'm off to the dentist this morning so they can get going on the cap that I had the root canal done for. A little rainy this morning but should clear up later.

I only have time for a single contribution. We're leaving early to go Cobia fishing. Well, early for Cobia season anyway. They've been really scarce this year and we haven't been able to go out as often this year.

I reckon by the time I get back I'll be lurking The Big Thread in the new digs. And I'm sure Adam will like having the Army stationed at HHV Post.

Good Morning Army. Mamaw wants to 'clean out' the area today. Two divorces, daughter then son, have cluttered up our garage. Did I mention the landfill is 25 miles away, on the opposite end of the county ?

That's what I did yesterday all.day.long and I'll be doing more as soon as I drink my morning coffee. Just years of crap, kid crap, everything crap. I'm not even saying how much I went through...it's embarrassing that I piled so much down there. I'm sore though. But I did get a little bit of sun and today is supposed to be beautiful. This pile is the last of it, and then everything else down there needs to be gone through a second time. Feels good to get rid of this crap. I'll have to get my Dad to help me get the big stuff to the dump next weekend...but the garbage men are not gonna be happy with me on pickup day.

Hey April! THANK YOU! I received the mammoth cross stitch projects today. What a great start to the weekend! Thank you thank you thank you!

I think elephants are a better topic/object for cross stitching.... they are sooo cute with those big floppy ears...

I also have my car loaded up with donations to the local charity. My goal is to have every square inch of this place organized soon...my closet is next. That's a scary place.......

So we've got new digs soon...I'll be there.

Hey Mr B Killer - how's that hand of yours doing? Are all the nerves OK and everything, no numbness or anything like that going on? Very happy to hear that Mrs. Killer's op has been straightforward. Not an area to be messed about with other than the best surgeons. My dad had a crushed .... in his neck and he literally started wasting away. He had 2 choices - have the op, and a possibility of being paralysed, or not have the op and ending up paralysed. Thank God he had a great surgeon and all is well. Woof! That was a stressful time for the family.

the wife seems to be okay, she was up and around last nite on her own ( but a bit wobblie). I have surgery on tuesday, tendon repair and skin graft, unfortunately nerve damage has occured...

Dusty, I got my Global Entry card last fall. The interview was easy and quick. It will be a breeze for you.

Our travel agent told me the Global Entry card would also get me in the TSA Pre-check lines at security. Well, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. It's luck of the draw.

RJ, I've been doing that with my mini-warehouse. I have had tons of files and records in there from my prior business. I finally got some time to go dig through it and take a bunch of them to be shredded. In the process, I started working on cleaning my garage also.

It does indeed feel good to get rid of junk and give away some stuff. I hate clutter and disorganization.
