Morning folks!

I have a meeting with the U.S Customs and Border Protection folks later today with regards to getting my NEXUS card. Hopefully it GOES (no pun intended*) well and I don't have to spend 2 hours in customs/immigration/security lines every time I need to fly in and out of the U.S.

*GOES: Global Online Enrollment System. Their site where the application is processed.

Y'all have a safe and fun filled Saturday!

Tell General Mervin I said hello!! :D

We were thinking about signing up to try to get that pre approval thing so that we could do the express through TSA. We've gotten lucky a few times and have been 'Chosen' to try it out. I still ended up having to remove my shoes. Not much different in my case. I don't think we will bother with applying. We always get to the airport earlier than we need to be anyway. :)

Where it really helps is going through customs. Instead of standing in the regular line for an hour or more, you go through an expedited line. Well, at least on your way back IN to the U.S. When I went to Europe last fall, there were no special lines over there for Global Entry. Maybe it's not so "global" after all.

I'm heading to the Bahamas tomorrow, so hopefully it will work there for me.

That's what I did yesterday all.day.long and I'll be doing more as soon as I drink my morning coffee. Just years of crap, kid crap, everything crap. I'm not even saying how much I went through...it's embarrassing that I piled so much down there. I'm sore though. But I did get a little bit of sun and today is supposed to be beautiful. This pile is the last of it, and then everything else down there needs to be gone through a second time. Feels good to get rid of this crap. I'll have to get my Dad to help me get the big stuff to the dump next weekend...but the garbage men are not gonna be happy with me on pickup day.

:vapor:

It will feel good when it's all cleaned out. I actually like cleaning out the old stuff. I then sit back and enjoy the space that's left after. ;)

It's amazing how much accumulates in a relatively short time.

Have a good one Army! Boy wants breakfast and then I'm headed back down.

Oh yesterday was one year since my beloved cat Diamond died from being mauled by dogs. I miss her. She was my friend.

I could not 'Like' this post  I can't believe it's been a year.....
Did anything happen to those dogs? Are they still terrorizing the neighborhood?

Don't think classies is a word. Hopefully the post will still count. Love you guys. Will check in later. Feels weird posting about things i acquired on this thread. Darn it. This could have been at least 4 posts.

LOL! Classies became a word here on ECF. Just like vaping became a word. :D

Customs and immigration in Toronto going into the U.S is one long line of stupidity.. Does not matter if you're early, they still sort through the line based on when your flight is. Then you have to go into another line, and repeat the process.

And Good Morning Army!

I'm pre-registered for the surgery. What sucks is I don't go to the hospital until 4:15pm. That means no food or ANYTHING all damn day. I won't be able to eat for a few days after either. Now that's a diet!!!! So Monday is jello and clear liquids, nothing after midnight.... At least I don't have to drink that gallon of stuff. Just a bottle of something (I have it written down somewhere) that is over the counter and 4 laxative pills at 7pm on Monday night.

I bet since I'm going in so late on Tuesday, I won't be able to come home until after the weekend. I wonder if I can bring my own pillow..... ;)

Yes on the pillow. I recommend it :)

Best of luck, Robin! Hope surgery and recovery go smoothly.

Bahamas? Need a friend to tag along?:D

Oh we need to clean out around here. Maybe I can get the boys to start on the garage this afternoon. Problem is every time we do it I always end up wanting storage shelves or cabinets. Another thing to add to the want list.
My next house will have those cabinets. I always want them too after cleaning out the garage. Maybe I'll do mine today too. Might find a few more things to sell.

the wife seems to be okay, she was up and around last nite on her own ( but a bit wobblie). I have surgery on tuesday, tendon repair and skin graft, unfortunately nerve damage has occured...

Hope your surgery goes as well as your wife's did. That skin grafting is no fun.

He's adjusting well. Urlacher is now pretty much a house dog. Mamaw and/or I will take him outside two or three times a day to play 'ball', which he loves to do. That way he continues to get his exercise. But he does not go out unattended. He seems happy to be back in familiar surroundings. We haven't had any guests in the last week, but when we do Urlacher will just have to be put up in the spare bedroom. That may not sound right. but at least he isn't permanently caged, or put down.

I'm glad you found something that is working out for all involved.

I went through that in Vancouver one time. The customs guy kept asking me if I had a pistol in my bag and reminding me it was illegal to bring one into Canada.
