Good evening All. Well a rough week ended on a

note. A month ago I passed my DOT physical. But thanks to some trouble with the paper work I had to take it again this morning. I don't pay for it so no problem right? Wrong. I passed the hearing test last time because they didn't do it right. This time I failed it.

I have to be able to hear below 40 decibels in one ear. The test they did shows 86 and 46. So Monday I have to see an ear nose throat doctor which I made an appt today. (Dang it wrong button.) If I can't hear below 40 then it's time for a hearing aid.

I'm not a happy camper. And I'm feeling my age and it don't feel good. So for tonight it's and some food that's almost done.

I have tinnitus also. Going on 28 yers in a truck has about done it for me. The left ear was 86 and the right was 46. Too many miles with the window cracked. Guess you could even say it was from smoking.

Once in a while I have to go into mechanical room areas that are really loud with chillers and all. I always wear my hearing protection. I can't handle any more hearing loss. And too I had a lot of ear infections when I was growing up...that may have something to do with it.

Well it sounds more like it's from your profession as opposed to age. ;)

My Papaw was a truck driver and he had horrible carpal tunnel from driving a truck all his life and surgery didn't help him.

Either way it still sucks.

And just to put a cap on it. I got around somebody who was sick. Because I have that scratchy feeling I get when I'm going to get a cold. So a few zinc tabs tonight and see if I can head it off.
