First off though, had to take Mama Chak to the hospital yesterday morning. She was up at the crack of dawn Sat morning made waffles for breakfast came upstairs to take a shower. As she's coming out of the bedroom, she took a couple shuffling steps then called out "Daddy, come here right now". We shuffled back into the bedroom and she started balling her eyes out. Somethings terribly wrong papa.
Her speech was coming out really slow and not all too clear, she could hardly walk at all. So we changed clothes and rushed her to the hospital where they diagnosed that it was a minor stoke. She spent the night in the stroke unit for observation and we just got home a couple hours ago with some new meds and adjustments to the old meds. Talk about scary!

I talked to one of our originals this morning. Sasha (scarf-ace) says HI!
I'm already tired and it's only 10 am.
Did you ask her to come by and say 'Hello' ?
It's a beautiful English pipe tobacco. Probably my top one or two English blends.
MVJ Dunhill (Early Morning Pipe Tobacco) 30/70 PG/VG @ 12mg Nicotine. VV Grand w/ 1.9 ohm coils and Cotton wicking.
Started into this late last night. At first I thought it tasted like burnt cotton, so much so I kept examining the wicks and squonking like crazy. Then I thought it tasted like stale Pall Malls. But as the new coil and wicks break in, I began getting a smooth, mild true tobacco flavor. This seems to do better at lower voltage, I'm probably around 8 Watts currently. But make no mistake; this is not an HHV type pipe tobacco, it is truly a strait tobacco vape. Quite tasty for those who prefer milder tobacco flavors. I've vaped maybe 1 ml so far, and careful examination shows the new coil still looks silver/ shiny, and no discoloration of cotton wicking. It would appear MVJ has corrected their filtration problems and are producing some quality true tobacco e-liquids. if there are any NET purists (Bronze) left around, I would suggest going by MVJ and taking a serious look at these 2nd Generation MVJ NETs.
Good Morning Army. First and foremost; Chris, be there for Mama Chak. Make whatever arrangements need to be made, she's worth it.
Bridgette, once upon a time (1992) we were feeding my younger Brother (28 and fallen on hard times), Older Stepson (19), his girlfriend (18), son (14), daughter (12) Mamaw and I. $200 a week, plus Loaf of Bread/ Dozen Eggs/ Gallon of milk a Day. Supper consisted of: Family Pack (16- 20) Pork Chops, 2lb Macaroni, 1/2lb shredded Cheddar, three Large Cans Veggies, 1/2 Loaf of bread, Gallon pitcher of Sweet Tea (with another pot already brewed for after Supper). An hour later the 'Parade' to the Fridge would start again. Oh, the Memories...
Enjoy the Weekend Y'all, and Have a Safe and Blessed Day![]()
Love my (large font) TOBACCO NETs! You're right, Adam doesn't get into them. Wish he'd do a couple of them. A nice Turkish (Oriental) and a Fire-Cured would be nice.
I'm sure there are at least several there, Diane does an outstanding job describing the selections variety and strength.
Wouldn't hurt to look them over, General....
That sucks Chak. What do the meds do?
Lower cholesterol, regulate heart rate, lower blood sugar, help blood circulation, vitamins... I think that's about it, but there may be more.![]()
I'm going to be in Connecticut next weekend meeting the parents of our daughters fiancé.
Should be interesting....Rick's ex will be there tooo
The fiancé's parents have a summer BBQ party every year and I guess they want to meet the parents. Oy vey.
I'd rather be meeting RJ![]()
Thanks everyone! Mama Chak says thanks too. She's feeling much better now that she's been fed some good food and sleeping in her own bed.![]()
