Took apart one of the dual build 26g on the Magma, and transferred a single spaced coil to the KFL. .7 ohm. Never done a sub-ohm build on the KFL before. Anyone here done one?

I have no idea if it will work or not. I don't intend running it too hot, maybe in the 10 - 12W range.

Curious to see if it works.

I did a subohm single on the KFL once a long time ago. I believe it was at .8 or .9 ohms. Had to run it on my mech and it was too hot for me.

Well I will talk about the cyber sale then. Remember I said I was going to place an order? Well I decided to try these 3 in 6ml... Butter Rum, Powder Keg, and Huntsman. I would have got the sample size, but since I liked all of HHV in my first order, I'm taking a chance. Then I got some more White Lie, and Pirate's Booty. That is it. I wanted much more, but had to contain myself. I already way over did it anyway this month. I am trying to get enough juice so I can age some. (plus find some juices I can switch to in a round up) I wanted to finish trying all the tobacco juices, and get more from what I already tried the first time. But, I had to keep a little sanity left, and say no. As much as I am vaping, my stock isn't gonna last long.

Okay question on the Kayfun clone...remember I know very little. Can you vape the juice dry, and move on to the next juice? Or is it similar to the clearomizer, where you have to stop at 1/3 full, or your tank leaks? Remember I like to change flavors often. (yes, during one day, or I can't taste it well)

I have vaped it till it's dry. Not pleasant getting a dry hit. Now I pay attention and tilt the device to see if there is still liquid in there. So yes, you can vape just about every drop. I have tilted and not seen any liquid at all yet didn't get that dry hit. (Whew, close call LOL)

Samuel, welcome to my world. I hear you. I can't seem to shut off my mind at night. I have always been a night owl. My puppy is getting me up earlier than I want. I want to slowly get her adjusted to MY SCHEDULE. I found a good nap helps with bumping the sleep numbers up. That is if the phone doesn't ring, my son's dog doesn't howl, the neighbor's car horn doesn't go off....well, you get the picture. I have had trouble sleeping at night for a very long time. I wish I could say it get's better....

I am at work, bad case of insomnia last night, 3 hours of sleep. Going to be a really long day.

Although I like my Veritas dripper more, I am very very fond of my kayfun/Russian style tanks. I will say I like my Russian 91%s much more than the kayfun clone that I got. I am at a point where I won't buy another clone, if I can't afford to buy the real thing I just won't buy it.

Every clone I have purchased so far has been a hassle and the headaches have not made the savings worth it.

The kayfun has almost no airflow and I had to use parts from the full size setup and parts from the mini setup to make it work. The Taifun GT was just a total POS from day one. The Kraken leaks like crazy if I look at it wrong. The Magma 510 connection is about 1/4 inches to long and won't sit flush on anything.

I am done with clones....

I gave up on Kayfun a long time ago because of the lack of air flow. The Orchid,..(Kayfun on steroids) has dual air flow holes around 2mm and also has four juice channels. The V4 is awesome and a Kayfun clear dome fits it like a glove. Kayfun and Orchid V4 parts are interchangeable except for the chamber, deck and chimney. The Orchid is also a dual coil set up,..but can be used in single coil mode.

There are some good clones and there are some bad clones. Not sure what the percentages are but I do know original tends to be spot on every time. Stick with certain brands of clones like HCigar or Infinite. Those tend to have good feedback. Ehpro, Tobeco, others are more hit and miss based on what I've seen.

Oh, a new wick for each flavor? Oh my. Guess I will have to narrow down my favs then. At least until I get more hardware, which will be a while for sure. Thanks for letting me know. Either that, or I'm gonna go through wick liked craaaazy....rotfl.

KK I think what you were asking is will it be hard to change flavors. It is not, you'll just gently remove the old wick and gently slide in a new one. I assure you this is easier than you are thinking. :)

You haven't tried this Orchid yet..If you like Kayfun this thing will amaze you dear.

Orchid V4 Version 4 RDA RBA Little Boy Hobo Aether Tech Big Dripper Aris Lancia | eBay

Darlin' I don't like gear. I don't like trying new things when it comes to gear. You should have seen these guys just trying to get me to get a kfl+ (am i right family?) For almost 2 years I used the Vivi Nova. I liked it, I knew it inside and out. I got its quirks and I knew how to make it tick perfectly.

I am more apt to buy an upgrade or a new version of something I am TOTALLY familiar with. Such as the P3 since I already have the P2 and love it.

Mech would have run it hot, no doubt. I've got it on the Sig 100 at 12W and it's using only 3V voltage. Working fine since I asked my question..

A cotton ball will make tons of wick. Once you make the coil, it is just a matter of changing the wick. If you go the cotton route, one ball will probably make you about 10+ wick changes?

Exactly. I couldn't get my Provari P2 to take the lower resistance. I'd bump into the amp limit every time. So I was relegated to the mech which cooked the juice (for me). Now that the P3 has expanded their ohm and amp limits I should try it again. And I can use 26 gauge with the boost feature and not have to wait for eternity for the thing to heat up. I used the 26 gauge at 1.2 ohms. Maybe next time I'll drop it to .8 or abouts. I found the flavor on 26 gauge at 1.2 ohms to not be as crisp as the 28 gauge at 1.5 ohms.

$10.77 at FastTech. I've got 2 incoming..

Yeah I put that eBay link because some don't have the patience to wait two or three weeks on the slow boat. I'm getting mine there also. I got the V3 from there and it was the one in the black box with clear plastic where you can see the Orchid. Idk the makers name,..but top gear for sure.

28ga. fan here also. Not nichrome but kanthal. Nichrome is fickle and will pop on you if you ramp it up too much too quick.
