Ok, I read it. Fortunately it was short (like my attention span).

I think what is always forgotten and what makes these studies useless is that no one is saying (at least I hope not), that non smokers should give vaping a shot because it's so much fun. My risk analysis had always been, is this a safer/healthier choice than a cigarette? I would think comparing cell damage of a person having smoked a commercial cigarette and one using an e-cigarette would make more sense.

Oh well...

Doctor F even said he catches a lot of anti ecig crap from heart and lung doctors..Mind you these are specialist and want nothing more in the lungs than blood and air..lol

This was flat out horse shhhh and they know it. Big tobacco companies are probably getting concerned because more and more people are leaving them. One reason is their health. But probably the biggest reason is TAXES are too freaking high. I kept cutting back and cutting back. I ended up on those nasty generic cigarettes to save money. Finally I decided for my age, and health, it was time for me to quit. I have quit on and off for years anyway. But the vaping helped me during the critical time period. If they are concerned about how much smokers will cost the single payer system, they better leave it alone. (oh they want it to come, no doubt about that) Maybe they are trying to figure out how to shift some of that smoker taxes on to e cigs. The e cig is helping keep people off of cigarettes. Almost everyone I hear who has tried them, wanted to quit SMOKING. Why can't they just stop trying to micro manage every aspect of your lives? This was pure propaganda on their part. GT thanks for letting us know about it.

<<<millions of Americans will make New Year's Resolutions to quit smoking. Many will turn to e-cigarettes as a method to help. Over the last year, as sales topped $3.5 million, concerns about safety are also on the rise. In July, the World Health Organization found there was not enough evidence to determine if electronic cigarettes really help people quit smoking. The World Lung Foundation is recommending tighter regulation of e-cigarettes due to those growing concerns.
A friend posted this on Facebook. I was all over it of course.

Study: E-cigarettes damage healthy cells

You're a radical like me. :) I get incensed when people tell other people how to live their lives. Who in the F do they think they are!!!

What we often find is it doesn't have anything to do with concern and has everything to do with money and control. If it makes me a radical to expose that then so be it.

The only thing I disagree with in your statement is the word "often". Replace it with "always".

There is one immutable rule of life in this world: Follow the money. It will ALWAYS lead you to the truth.

The state and feds pull in billions a year in tobacco taxes. Think they're gonna idly stand by and watch that vaporize...literally and figuratively?

Exactly Bronze. The gov never found a tax they didn't like. I'm not even gonna get started on this right now. I am fed up with it, as most Americans are. They forgot just who they are working for. Instead, they think we work for THEM. They have it backwards. Rant off.

Okay folks I have a question for you. I have visited two places with the intention of buying e cig stuff. I needed 2 batteries, and juice. Both of them have the
website does not provide support for the encryption for the page you are viewing. Information sent over the internet without encryption can be seen by others while in transit. It says my connection to this website is not encrypted, and does not supply identity information. Now I don't know about you, but this gives me cold chills. Why can't they just get their ducks in a row? They say only pictures are not encrypted. But I am balking on buying, because of this. Thoughts? Oh, and I finally ordered the Aqua2.

My dentist appointment is in the morning. Regardless I am gonna have to have another tank. I should not have to pay a penny to get this tooth reworked. It is gonna cost me in gas and time to get there anyway. It is an hour away. Well, another rant off for the moment. I am on a roll today. I think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed so to speak.

That encryption thing wouldn't make me feel warm and fuzzy. Good luck with your crown. I just had one put in over the last couple months. Didn't fit the first try. Went back for a second try and it fit but had to go back again to have a stalagmite ground down. Perfect now. It is a gold/porcelain-fused crown. Porcelain because it was a frontal molar for cosmetics. Gold is the most durable crown. Bridget knows about these things better than anyone since she works for a dentist.

Is there an English translation available? :)

Yes, I need layman's terms...lol.

LOL, from what I get out of it, the website owners need to point all the images etc into their own servers.. instead of to a website address.

so, instead of using http://www.xyz.1234.jpg as the pointer to an image, they host that image on their server and point the script directly to it using a /images/1234.jpg.

This then tells the code that since the image is on the secure server, hence the image must be secure too. No more warning message..

Keep in mind that this is for sites that are already secure, and contain some elements that are not secure. This does not apply to sites that don't have any security built in.. stay away from those!

I wish the message would just come out and say, "This site does not have any security built in whatsoever. Proceed at your own risk"! Instead, we get geek-latin messages that no one can understand.

So bottom line...are those sites KK was referring to safe sites?

I understood all of that, but THIS:

<<<Keep in mind that this is for sites that are already secure, and contain some elements that are not secure. >>>

Some elements can be a lot of different things. Is it JUST PICS? Could it be more? I really don't want anything to be seen that I am transmitting on a purchase, but maybe that's just me. I like a big fat lock sign on my purchases, with no warnings at all. I want the risk rating green, and the whole transaction to go through smoothly. I don't want to have to worry whether that 20 dollar purchase will end up costing me big time, trouble, and massive stress. I don't thrive on stress, I hate it. I don't like living on the edge anymore...lol. When you are twenty, the way up the mountain seems like a long and arduous journey. When you are 50 plus years old, two feet from the top, you don't want to stumble. It is a long way down.

kkay, there are SO many online places to buy batteries, tanks, etc. that ARE secure, I see no need to deal with insecure websites.

Also, surprisingly, I found that my local B&M store is as cheap on batteries as anybody.

Have you thought about just getting another KF 3.1 tank? I've now got 4 of them, and they are pretty much all I use. I still use my Vivi Novas when I'm traveling because they're small and fit perfectly on a Twist and the Twist and VN combo is easy to conceal.
